Mmmmm these are all ooh sooo good, yes senorita bread!
    Joyce W.

Adj: sumptuous savory sweetness BAD bakers is bad to the sweet center of every bite of their pastries. In particular, we love their senorita bread and enjoy them often. They are always so fresh out of the oven, soft, tender, very slightly crisp on the very edges, and filled with wonderful buttery moistness in their sweet filling of which there's just enough, but not too much. While one to two is really all most of us really need, very few people can stop at just one. Everyone I know want more and I often want at least half a dozen. =P Thankfully, they warm back up so nicely in the microwave (5-7 secs each in a full powered microwave, and yes I know that's an abomination to some not to eat fresh only) that I'm able to control myself and just have a couple at a sitting and then come back for more later. They taste great by themselves, but they're even better with a cup of joe black, or for a more decadent experience, senorita bread is so good on a cold day as a breakfast or afternoon break with a nice big cup of latte. The service is always attentive and efficient when taking out, as for ambiance, we only take out so no experience really with anything more, but it's a small but still bright and clean bakery and we find that it's always warm and welcoming with all the wonderful aromas of the best a bakery can bring, but in a BAD way. ;) There are tons of other great baked goods here, of which the donuts are the more famous ones besides the senorita bread. I've not had their donuts yet, but I will report back when I do. =)

The Señorita Bread or STAXX as they're called were not uniform in appearance. The "rolls" looked more like Thanksgiving dinner rolls rather than rolled sweet bread. The service was okay and inside the store could use a makeover. Refund requested so I don't know how these weird ones even tasted..See pictures below in pink box

I am a loyal customer and always give good reviews to this place, but this time I need to give them a bad review. Las Tuesday I went to bad bakers to get señorita bread to work. I was very disappointed what I got, as you can notice on the picture, the señorita bread was totally different, I do not know if the change the recipe or the baker, but those were not señorita bread. They looked, tasted and smelled like canned pastry dough to make croissants. All people as soon they saw them were asking why they were so different, why they tasted different and why the texture was very different. Even the box was white no more bad bakers boxes, my coworkers asked me if got them form Walmart. Nobody liked them. That is why I gave them only one star. I recognize that the service and the ambience are always good. I do not know if that day they messed up the receipt, but they should sell those as señorita bread. Bad reputation for the business.

I went at the end of the day to get some random variety of donuts from a TooGoodToGo bag. I got 6 donuts and there were all pretty yummy! My favorite is the old fashioned which is a classic and you can't go wrong with. I love how they have unique flavors too and a different styles of donut! Makes it more fun. Very small shop next to a huge shopping complex in Natomas and a neighborhood, I was able to get parking though no problem. Workers were chill and let me pick up my order a lil early.

Picked up some Senorita bread to take over to a friends' gathering. This location is a little smaller than the the other I've been to in Elk Grove down from Hwy 99. The Senorita bread was good and popular with my friends.

The director of my program bought their senorita bread as a snack on our orientation day and i just fell in love with the bread. I decided to go myself and grab a 20-piece for my family and they loved it!! I definitely want to go back and try their other breads and donuts :))

These were pretty solid doughnuts. I chose pumpkin, glaze without filling, chocolate, ube brûlée, ube mochi, and peanut caramel. Pumpkin and chocolate were my favorite. The ube brûlée had a bitter aftertaste so it was my least favorite, and I couldn't finish it. I also tried their staxx. I saw everyone in front of me get boxes of those so I figured why not. Oh boy these are dangerous. Warm sweet buttered bread. I was unstoppable. I would recommend this place, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get these again. Solid 8/10.

Stopped by on my drive from Reno to Bodega Bay for a mid-drive pick me up. Also they have been trending on social media so decided I wanted to try it! The line was shorter as it was a late afternoon snack but there were still options of different donuts. I ended up with the crème brûlée donut after different recommendations from the workers. This donut was delicious and not overly sweet! The soft caramel filling was absolutely delicious and one of the better options when it comes to filled donuts. It reminded me of the soft caramel chewy candies. The crunchy outer sugar coating of the donut tasted EXACTLY like crème brûlée crust and was just amazing! There wasn't any seating area and this is definitely a grab and go but worth stopping by to try a donut option or two!

1/2 dozen random selection. If I had known about the aingle-use-PLASTIC-Syringes-that-will-just-end-up-in-landfill, I would not have ordered
    Lesley N.

Came here because it was nearby and looked cool. I asked the awesome counter person to randomly choose 1/2 dozen for me and she was awesome and did so. I have to say the donors were meh and the syringes feel gimmicky and also super wasteful/more single-use plastic for the landfill.

I love their ensymadas and ube options. I tried getting into the too good to go app and I got the savory and sweet. I just wish they didn't pile it all in 1 paper bag and everything just sticked together. Charging for a box is a good upsell at least a sale was made. Ambiance it's nice and bright. At times can be a lot of people. So many to choose :)

My family and I enjoy the fluffiness of Staxx but today seems like the recipe has change. Hope you could bring back the light and airy Staxx compared to this more toasted, flat version.

Ask the Community - BAD Bakers - Natomas

Do your empanadas have eggs in them?

Are there any gluten free products?

Do they always have mochi donut or are they special order?

I have gone in on 3 random days and they always had them. I have seen 3 different kinds too.

Do they have organic staff and gluten free?

I dont know if their "staff" is organic, but they have had gluten and vegan offerings

Does the Natomas location not have donuts or do they sell them on certain days? I've been there twice, no donuts each time.

I went on a Monday (6/15) morning and there were plenty of donuts and cronuts.

    Do they have vegan donuts?

They do! I saw one vegan donut on the menu.

Is it better to order ahead or are walks in accomodated?

    Call ahead!!

Does this bakery make Marti Gras King Cake Bread?

I do not believe so, but best to ask them directly to be sure.

There is no seating inside but there are a few benches outside. I think the favorite thing I got here was their "not pizza" which was their sourdough bread topped with delicious tomato sauce, cheese, etc. Amazing and so soft and fluffy. I also really enjoyed their banana bread (insanely moist) and egg and ham cup. Prices are reasonable (croissants are less than $5) and service is fast despite the line out the door. Very high quality stuff and worth the drive if you are coming from out of the area. You won't be disappointed. I wouldn't be surprised if this place continues to get more popular. Definitely been on a big banana bread kick lately and this one did not disappoint. Tons of chocolate chips! The garlic bun was by far my absolute favorite. It was crispy and at the same time so buttery like a croissant, and the garlic flavor was amazing. The cakes, pastries, and beverages were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. In fact, the cakes impressed me so much that I can honestly see myself ordering future birthday and celebration cakes from here. The ordering process was smooth, and the décor is gorgeous, making it a really inviting place to spend some time. I enjoyed the bakery so much that I came back a week later to try lunch. Unfortunately, that's where things took a turn. I ordered the burger, and someone in my party had the salmon burger. Both were incredibly bland. It honestly tasted like no salt or seasoning had been added at all. If you prefer very lightly seasoned food, this might be right up your alley, but it just wasn't for me. The iced tea also comes unsweetened, so keep that in mind if you're expecting sweet tea. One small thing that could also be improved is the ordering setup. There are separate lines for the bakery and the kitchen, but when it gets busy it can be a little confusing--especially since you order first and then find a seat. Overall, I'd absolutely return for the pastries, cakes, and drinks. The bakery side is outstanding. As for lunch, though, it left me wanting a lot more flavor.

A rich complex flavor. It had a little bit of ginger in it, you could definitely taste the ginger, but it did not overwhelm the rest of the porridge. The chicken was good, and for the mushroom, they used black mushrooms, which have a deeper flavor than regular mushrooms. So very good. It looked like a small bowl, but I couldn't finish it. Some came home with me, and it reheated very well. It also came with Chinese donuts to put in the porridge. Chinese donuts are a little bit different. The green tea was very good, and they didn't overdo it with the lemon, and that hotdog roll that I had later, the pastry was delicious with just a little bit of a "chew" to it, they were definitely high-quality hot dogs, and it wasn't just green onion. They had something mixed in, I'm not sure what it was, but it didn't taste raw like green onion can. Just a great lunch. I'll be back. Thanks.

The very berry pastry was my favorite. The cream was light, fresh, and had just the right amount of sweetness, and the fruit on top tasted fresh and sweet. The hash brown bread with ham and cheese was very dense and filling, making it a great savory option. I loved the self-serve pastry setup and appreciated how large the bakery selection was.
