I could tell that she was interested in me, but I tried not to show that I was more interested than she was since I did not want to see myself as a s** tourist exploiting a girl's financial needs, and I really thought I was just a foreign guy who was way below her league in terms of looks and personality, so I felt it would really be wrong of me to do anything beyond talking to her. I talked to the girl using Google Translate (on account of my horrible Spanish despite taking a class for 4 years in high school), trying to be as respectful and cordial as possible, pretending not to like her as much as I did. I felt like paying 3500 pesos per hour (spent 2 hours) just to talk would have been a waste of money on my part, so I went for more than that. In the end, I felt very sad that I lost the battle for the greater good because I just wanted to help the girl. However, I deceived the girl into thinking that I just wanted to have a date with her with only talking involved, so she no longer believed that I was genuinely interested in her beyond the s** and would probably not see me as a friend.
