Dr Olsen is the BEST DOCTOR she's attentive, listens, and is very dedicated. I always feel cared for and safe with her care.

Not accepting new patients, though their website says several of their doctors do. And it took them two weeks to tell me this.

Theg treat you like a drug seeker, defamation of character thru medical recording stating "Do not give -------" as if you're a junky when you've never had drug issues. Had to have pain doctor validate facts to contradict doctors records. I could have lost my disability hearing because of the doctor working there and her medical records. I agree with Carlos, Even on telephone calls you waited for over an hour to see the Nurse practitioner. My Thyroid was 3 points off and they messed it up so much I wound up sick in bed for 10 days. I Need medicine which they refused. They had always refilled my NEEDED medicine But when I told them I was not coming back they wanted me to drive 45 miles to their office for one refill. I'm 85 and will not drive from where I live to Willits just to sit in their office for two hours Period! read more

Do not come here, they will waste your time with long waits and they do not care about you at all. Dr. Mathewson is always late and tired and you will spend an average of 1-2 hours for simple issues. Highly recommend somewhere else. The staff and nurse practitioners are also very inconsiderate and have attitude. read more

My husband and I switched to Bechtel Creek medical clinic a couple of months ago and we are so happy! I have been a patient of Lisa McClurry's for a couple of years now and so I followed her to the Willits clinic. Very happy I did! I saw a different nurse practitioner today by the name of Joanne and was very happy with her as well! I would say top notch! read more

After being a patient for over 25 years I was blown off today with an hour and half wait resulting in me having to walk out before seeing my "new" doc as I had another appointment. The entire waiting room cleaned out twice in the meantime. It was very rude of them to not at least find out why I was there, I needed only 5 minutes to ask for a thyroid lab test to be ordered so that we could talk about it at a subsequent appointment, I will never go back. read more

There is one blond girl who works there I think her name was Brittney or Bethany? she's so rude everytime I take my grandma there for her appointment she always has a attitude like we're annoying her bc my grandma walks slow she doesn't understand easy questions we ask and is rude to us when she doesn't understand!!! Like the other person said someone who shouldn't work with the public! Don't trust any of them to give shots my friend said many of them aren't certified to do there jobs. I cannot stand this clinic. So far, I have not had a problem with the physicians. It's the receptionists. They are rude, and haughty. They seem to enjoy telling people "no" and that they can't help you. It's not just me they treat like that, it's my boyfriend too. My boyfriends parents are very polite and don't often speak ill of others but they have said the receptionists aren't great. They are all young and good looking, and have obviously been hired for those reasons. They think they are so great because they work in a doctors office in a small town where there are not many jobs like that. ALSO, more important than my opinion of the receptionists, I was once in the office and a young girl that worked there told me she had not been to medical assisting school and had no certification or formal training but still gave shots. I totally agree with other reviewers the receptionist is so unhelpful and does not go out of her way to help. Someone from the clinic called me because there was a problem with my insurance filling a new prescription, I couldn't understand the girls name when she called because I have a hearing problem and people on the phone tend to give their names very fast. After I talked to my insurance company then I called the clinic to give them further instructions so that my insurance co could fill the prescription. I was told by the receptionist that unless I knew the persons name who called me there wasn't anything she could do to help me. So here I sit 3 weeks later and I still don't have the problem solved. read more

This is a good clinic. My husband and I have been going there sinde 2009. They have had people move and retire but the office staff is only a part of the service. There are good doctors and coming from Southern California, it's hard to find good Drs, in Mendocino County. read more

We've been taking our 2.5year old daughter to see Dr Olsen for 2 years. The doctor is lovely, helpful, informative and doesn't push a specific agenda. I know a number of friends who bring their children here and love it. I've never had any trouble with staff but I'm not an adult patient. Not sure about the other reviews. read more

I would give this place a zero if that was an option. Just got off phone with super rude receptionist who should not be interfacing with the public. They are the perfect example of what is wrong with healthcare today - just because this is a rural area they with limited healthcare options they think they can treat people like dirt. I was an established patient at this place for many years and then they had an internal breakdown where one dr left, another had their own health issue, and another was going on vacation. I was never informed my primary care dr left. When I called for an appt they said they were not taking any appointments at the time & I'd need to wait 2.5 months to "establish new care" with a new dr even though I was already a patient there. I had an urgent issue so I had to switch to Little Lake to see nurse practitioner there. Now when I called Baechtel Creek to make an appt they said there was never a time they weren't taking appointments (flat out lie!) & I can't "come back to the clinic" even though the only reason I went elsewhere was because they didn't have any drs available to see me. They lack empathy and in the end I am glad they are not my dr office if this is how they treat people. No customer service. No accountability for their own shortcomings when they had only 1 dr left and were not making any appts during that time. Poorly run. No oversight over staff that interfaces with the public. I hope even established patients recognize they type of people they are dealing with and there's a mass exodus away from this place. read more

Willits is a small town and there aren't a lot of doctors offices to chose from. I went to this clinic for several years before I finally got it through my head that the crappy things I thought were going on weren't just me being upset and frustrated with my personal health. The other reviews I've seen on this site confirmed what I had been thinking and made me brave enough to give my review. I only speak from my personal experiences and how the way the staff treated me made me feel. I've had several ongoing medical issues which would have been resolved already if my doctors had listened to me and if staff at this clinic were not rude and horrible. On several occasions my son and I were sent several hundred miles out of town to see specialists which were perfectly available much closer to home but my doctor swore that there were none available nearby. I found out later that my doctor was lying. After seeing a specialist out of town I received a prank call from someone with the number blocked that I believe to be from this office informing me that I had cancer. I had not informed anyone, not even my mother, that I was seeing this specialist because my doctor suspected I had a brain tumor. When I made an appointment to follow up with my doctor she claimed that all my tests from the specialist came back normal and it was not the cause of my health problem. She stopped trying to find any cause to that problem at that point. When I was finally scheduled to see a specialist in town for a different problem I received another call from the office informing me that my appointment had been canceled and then asked me to reschedule for six months out. The day of the originally scheduled appointment I received another call telling me that I had missed the appointment (which I had been told was canceled and rescheduled) and that I needed to reschedule and that my insurance would be charged anyways because I hadn't shown up. These doctors will rely on information from previous doctors in all of their decisions and will not fight for you, the patient, or do the hard work of making their own diagnosis. If you are looking for a second opinion I don't recommend this place as the doctors I've dealt with do not respect their patients. When they make mistakes because of this, they will throw out copies of your records from your previous doctors and then claim you never signed a request for them to be sent. They tried to do this for myself and my child but he and I had previously had the same physician and I had signed the records request forms for both of us on the same day and I had seen the documents they had received. You will receive notices reminding you of your checkups years after you have left their care, even after you have moved they will get your updated information and keep contacting you. The front office staff are rude, do not keep confidential information confidential, and will make fun of and harass you. They will trash talk you while you are in the office waiting room, making fun of your concerns and sometimes even reading medical files out loud where other patients can hear. They might not say names, but when you know they just pulled out your file because you just checked in it is a little disconcerting. On more than one occasion I've been given appointment cards telling me to come in at a specific time, arrived ten to fifteen minutes early as directed and then waited up to four hours to be seen because I "missed" my appointment. Or waited up t four hours to be seen because I came in "early". I came in at the time I had been instructed to with my appointment time written on the reminder card by the staff the previous time I was in there. The reception staff had just given me a time on my reminder card different from what they had actually scheduled just to fuck with me. That is wrong. Doctors who are lazy and do not want to care for their patients will intimidate their patients by implying that they are drug addicts looking for narcotics and not injured or ill individuals looking for a lasting cure. On more than one occasion, while I was waiting for my own appointment, I have seen patients leave this office in tears because they are so fed up but have nowhere else to go. Doctors will refuse to test you for things that are actually wrong with you and will insist on testing for things that they know will turn up negative. Eventually patients stop trying to get healthy and just live with pain or poor health. And god forbid you be overweight. I gained over a hundred pounds due to my ongoing health issues and their incompetent care. Which the doctors then tried to use as the excuse for my medical issues. Health issues I had before getting fat and weight gain which only occurred after coming under this office's care. Who ever is in charge of this office needs to hire an investigator to look into the misbehavior of the staff. Interview the patients who have complained. read more

If you don't wish to read my full review, here's the summary: They'll harass you if you go to another doctor; and they'll tell your insurance and schools they gave your children vaccines, then tell you they didn't. I've been going here since I was a baby. Once Dr. Mills retired my whole family (he saw all of us) decided to go to Consolidated in Redwood Valley; they still called us for up to a year saying we needed check-up, AFTER we told them we were seeing new doctors. This is the worst part: My older sister is in college, about a month ago she got a call from the medical center. She went there, they ran some tests and found she was missing several vaccines she needed to be in school (MMR and such). Because of the short notice she had to get them done there for 100$+ out of pocket! Our mom called Baechtel Creek, and they said they had no record of giving my sister those shots, EVEN THOUGH they not only told our insurance company they did, BUT our high school so she could go to school. Guess what I just got in the mail from Consolidated? My medical records. Guess what shots I was missing? The same vaccines as my sister. read more

I've been going to BCMC since 2002 and I'm at my breaking point..The office staff is worthless and never any help..I've been waiting for 3 days now to get a prior authorization for my inhalers..I'll call every day with a promise of a return call that never comes..5 years ago I complained of a sore throat and after 6 months of visits to 4 different doctors there I finally went to see a throat specialists and she told me in 30 seconds that I had stage 4 throat cancer..the only competent doctor there is Dr. Lieberfarb and as much as I hate to lose him as my primary physician it's time for a change.. read more

Very poor treatment from the desk receptionist. Lack of knowledge about Hippa Privacy. The Doctors seem unfamiliar with protocol and if they dont want to do something for a female they send you to "care for her". Very unprofessional and they rush you, not very personable and dont give you a chance to talk. I have used the services of the clinic for many years, off and on. Most of the physicians are knowledgeable and care about their patients, some do not. The major problem at the clinic is the staff behind the counter specifically the accounting and receptionists'. The accounting department has billed the wrong insurance groups or has billed Medicare when they should have billed the primary insurance company even though they have been told over and over who the correct insurance carriers are. The receptionists', for the most part, are rude and uncaring. Most often I hear them chatting about their personal lives when they should be taking care of patients charts. I would go to a private physicians office but the only doctors in town who actually care about their patients are not taking any new patients. read more

I reserved comment until my 2nd visit at this clinic. I can confirm the staff is most unhelpful, especially to a patient with chronic, debilitating illness and cognitive disfunction, periods of decompensation and difficulty with expressing myself owing to the effects of illness. Not only did staff contradict information provided to me by the Doctor moments before (regarding a records transfer from my prior physician), but when presented with the contradiction offered no solution or any assistance helping me to resolve the issue. Phone calls between the two offices confirms requested records were never sent because they were never requested, despite my hand-delivering a completed HIPAA transfer request; and BCMC made no attempt whatsoever to follow-up on the request. I've now wasted 2 months in their care - wasting my time and the Doctors'. I do not get the impression that the office staff is overworked, so I'm curious what the issue there is. I do not get for a moment, however, that patient well-being or satisfaction is a high priority for this clinic. I sure hope they read their reviews.... read more
