This beautiful beach is located in the cliffside village of Positano in southern Italy. The best way to visit here is to take a ferry from nearby cities such as Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi, etc. Otherwise you'll spend close to 1.5 hours driving through some winding and hairpin turns from the nearest airport in Naples. The beach is located about 250 ft. below the closest road that allows cars, so expect to do a lot of hiking as you navigate your way through the tiny pedestrian only streets visiting shops, restaurants, and cafes. Parking is impossible here! Most of the beach here is private, so expect to spend 25 euros to rent a tiny sunbed packed in tightly next to some stranger. The small portion of the beach that is public is filled tightly with tourists marking their spot with a beach towel. The beach itself has tiny pebbles, so be sure to wear water shoes. During the day this place is packed with day trippers visiting. HOWEVER, from the early evening till mid morning you will have the place to yourself and enjoy this natural beauty. I highly recommend renting a boat on the pier and taking it out for a few hours to enjoy the blue waters and gorgeous views. That's the best way to experience this place! Overall I was really impressed the with the beauty of Positano. Such a fun place to visit with gorgeous views, great weather and beautiful crystal clear blue waters. Expect to pay high prices for restaurants and hotels here and dealing with crowds during the day. I definitely can see why the Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful places to visit on the planet!

The server asked if it was for drinks or food, not fully having decided we said drinks and food. We sat down and everything was great, we ordered their piazza Bianca a bottle of sparkling water and a beer. Everything was great, until the server asked us if we wanted to order meals. We had looked at the menu and decided that we would have a few drinks and nothing else. The server was upset, he told us we each had to order one meal. And accused us of trying to get free bread and olive oil. He said if I would have known you were only getting drinks I would have told you we are closed! He insisted we must order meals or his manager would be upset. I asked to speak to the manager, as we where not going to eat anything else on the menu. The server kept insisting we order, that we where being rude by not ordering food. I apologized and said we were not hungry and that we would be happy to pay for the bread and olive oil. We told him we where not trying to get anything free, and happy to pay for anything we ate and drank. The manager was never called to our table and we were given the check after much argument from the server. It was the worst experience I have had in a restaurant while traveling abroad. Please, save yourself and argument and the headache. DO NOT STOP HERE!

The stairs down to the beach club / back up are no joke if you're staying in Praiano but totally worth it. We had a great day eating, drinking, and playing in the water, they supply floaties for the water which is really nice. The staff was so much fun and the music was 10/10. My husband and I needed help getting a boat taxi for the next day and the woman at the host desk was happy to help us. I cannot recommend One Fire Beach enough.

BUT we are still paying customers expecting an experience. And it's now sunny and nice out so that shouldn't have even be an excuse. Servers RARELY came over to ask if we wanted drinks. Empty drinks for an hour. I had to go up to staff who were all talking to each other. (Which they have been doing the whole time). Horrible. After talking with staff they immediately started switching out our melted ice and water which is good....BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING THIS REGARDLESS RAINY OR NOT! There were 4 other dueces there..... 4. That's all. They also ask on your booking, are you celebrating anything special? Well we got married two days ago so I put that on there...I am not expecting any special treatment but why do you ask then if you don't even acknowledge it???? They haven't said one thing about it. Do not recommend. We also expressed their instagram makes the beach club seem very lively, fun and interactive...we didn't get that experience at all. They barely spoke to us and again didn't come over to ask if we wanted drinks, food, etc. What's the point of having servers?? Make it self serve or a walk up bar. Also they didn't do "melon time" because they said they had no one to cut the melon.......? 10000% not worth the money! The only reason I'm even giving it a 2 is because of the view and the drinks we did have tasted good. Edit* after I wrote this we did talk to staff..initially the woman we spoke to told my husband and I, and 2 other couples "if we don't like it we leave" WHAT?!?!? She never once said sorry or that they were wrong for all standing around and not providing service. (No joke maybe 15 staff members were working with 8 customers in the whole pool club) Then a gentleman came over who was very nice but I still don't think he was understanding what we were saying. They ended up comping our drinks which I expressed multiple times that's not what we want...simply an apology and some good service?? We will not be going back nor recommending to anyone else.

I asked for a table for 3 the host acknowledge and the just went on doing her own chores of the restaurant. I had to ask 2 times for her to have someone set up the table. Then I order a bottle of wine water and our food( pasta, pasta, salad ,and zucchini flowers). While waiting 15-20minutes for the food, I finally ask can I have some bread for my wine while we wait for the food. As the bread came my food came(except for the salad). I politely waited 10 minutes more no salad. Then I waive over the chef manager/host. She said it's coming. Clearly she forgot and I said I don't want it but she kept insisting but I stood firm. When I finished my food the bread was still left since I wanted it with my wine. She comes back and takes plate and says you can use the bread plate. (Sorry, that will make sense as you read on.) Only accessible via private funicular from the Hotel Le Agavi, or water taxi from the main beach in Positano, The Remmese has it all. The service is impeccable (from food, to wine, to assistance with extremely comfortable beach chairs and umbrellas, to anything you could possibly think of), and quickly offered with many smiles (although the biggest one was on the staff member who caught a fish off the dock while we watched). The views are ridiculous. You not only have a beautiful look at the water itself and unimpeded angles of the rocky coast toward Positano Beach from the pleasant deck studded with chairs and umbrellas, but if you walk up to the right, you've also got a rocky coastline to walk that you virtually have to yourself. Just look at the photos. But the FOOD. The food is the surprise. In America, beach clubs are places where you are a captive audience held hostage by mediocre kitchens that charge too much money for frozen chicken fingers, poorly made hamburgers, and if you're lucky, fried shrimp or calamari. Here at the Remmese, the food is definitely a little pricey, but it is FANTASTIC. Everything is of the highest quality, so feel free to get the fritters, the sandwiches, etc. (and definitely get the Caprese salad, it's perfect). But if you can only get one thing, you get the Scialatelli. People, listen to me when I tell you this. GET THE SCIALATELLI. This is quite literally one of the best things I have EVER eaten, and I have eaten a lot. I always order different dishes because I love variety, but I got this dish three days in a row. If you've ever had linguini and clams, this is the platonic ideal of that dish, and any other pasta (and everyone knows pasta is the best food you can have). The scialatelli (a long pasta like fettucini or linguini, but rectangular) is obviously homemade and perfect, the tiny clams are fresh and tender, and the cherry tomatoes, parsley and lemon brighten this dish up to become the finest thing you can possibly eat on the Italian coastline or anywhere. Sop up all the sauce with the excellent bread, or drink it, or bring it back to NYC for me, but DO NOT LEAVE without getting the SCIALATELLI. This pasta, a surprisingly affordable bottle of white or rosé, and this view add up to as good a day as you can possibly have in life.

Someone had mentioned they were able to take a private boat, and wow am I happy they did! We were picked up at a cove right near where we were staying in Praiano. The boat was in great condition and held about 15 of us comfortably, with space to sit in the back and the front. Our captain, Tony, was such a delight and spoke wonderful English, so he was able to point out so many sights along the way and really gave us the full experience! We got to see all the gorgeous rocks and cliff sides up close, and Tony even drove the boat into some of the caves so we could take the peek! The ride to Capri was about 45 minutes, but we did take our time and sightsee. Tony picked us up in the same spot 4 hours later for the ride back. This time, he even offered to let us swim by some of the rocks and caves! We stayed near the coast on the ride by and got to see all the cities from the water like Sorrento and Positano. We were able to see private beaches and stunning waterfront villas as well! Absolutely recommend visiting Capi this way, or really any city along the Amalfi Coast! My mom, who was experiencing motion sickness on the windy roads, was surprisingly totally fine traveling by boat!
