I was satisfied with the service at Bagua Spa, but there are a few things worth knowing before booking.
First, it is quite expensive. A 90-minute deep-tissue massage cost MXN 3,057, which was more than twice the price of other massage and spa options nearby. This was not my first choice, but my reservation at another place fell through, so I needed to find something on short notice and decided to accept the higher price. Looking back, I wonder whether the high pricing is part of the reason it was still available for a last-minute booking.
That said, I do think the massage itself was worth the price. The environment was comfortable, the treatment was relaxing, and the therapist was very professional.
My only real disappointment was the noise from outside during the session. It may have been related to the World Cup season, but it was quite noticeable and interrupted the relaxing atmosphere. Other than that, I was generally very satisfied.
If the price had been about 30% lower, I would probably have given it five stars. read more
