I have rented at this complex twice. No problems with management. It was a pleasant experience both times.

We booked a family vacation through VRBO . It seemed like it would be perfect for the family, but the Condo Association that governs the property are o er the top with rule enforcement. The complex management and custodians seem to go way out of their way to inform you of which of their totally arbitrary rules that have been broken. It's pretty clear that the association would rather not have vacation renters on the property. The Pool area is the worst of it; I'm surprised that the association has not made a rule that you cannot get wet in the pool. I must say, the place is really not that special. It's like a living museum to 1970. Want us to feel unwelcome? Mission Accomplished. Too bad Yelp does not negative stars. Luis, the word you should be looking for is hospitality; nobody likes to feel hostility. read more

I wish I could give minus stars. The manager, Luis is beyond rude. We've had reservations here for several months. I come to Catalina every Sept to celebrate my late husbands birthday. Planned on spending time at the pool & jacuzzi but manager wouldn't let us in. He was extremely rude to all of us. If the pool is closed then post a sign. I have stayed here several times but this is the last time. I will go back to a hotel where my business is appreciated. How is Luis still the manager here when there are complaints against him. The place is great. I have a lot of memories from this place and usually I have a pretty great time at the end. I have one complaint that has ruined the experience for me every single time, that being Luis. My family and I have felt they were being targeted by Luis no matter what we do. We respect the rules of the condominium, yet we are constantly harassed for our actions. When speaking to other residents, we receive the same feedback. I wish I could say the condominiums were a great place to stay, but with Luis, the stay becomes less like a vacation and more like a child's detention center. Hope this issue can be resolved or I won't continue to come back. read more
