A multi-functional and somewhat makeshift venue in an industrial (i.e. lesser-known) part of the city, Bahnwärter Thiel can make one think that they are in Berlin. The venue is hidden among the stack of cargo containers. Once found, one is in for a treat of eclectic and eccentric art installations (e.g. a cable car attached to the ceiling or chair fixed to the ceiling). A bit of a hodgepodge but amusing to see.
We went there for a DJ set, and there was ample space to move around (and there were people). Music wasn't too loud and overall it was a good time.
Would definitely check this place out again for other events (concerts or theater performances). read more
