I contacted Misty about a week before I was going to need this cake, and she was easily able to accommodate me. I needed a cake for a "baby reveal party", where I was the ONLY person who was advised the sex of the baby(not even the mom and dad to be knew), so I was in charge of having a cake made and making sure once they cut into it they were pulling the knife out and be seeing either pink or blue icing. BLUE in this case :) Misty had the cake perfectly iced and there was no bleed through to ruin the surprise. We had ordered her Tahitian Vanilla Bean flavor in a Boutique style cake. This was absolutely delicious. I have never had a butter cream icing like she uses. Its so soft and subtle. Not sweet like most buttercreams. Cake was also packaged beautifully at pick up, and pricing was quite reasonable. I paid $60.00 for this cake that was to feed 18-20ppl--and it did. I will certainly be using her again for the next big event where we are in need of a cake!

It turns out Yelp's hours of operation for this place are wrong, so we showed up just as they were closing. Being the chubby Merkans that we are, I tried the door handle and they were still open (thankfully). We were greeted with favor though as the nice staff welcomed us to try the last pies of the day. I asked for them to surprise me with whatever was available and settled on two savory pies. Uh-mazing! It had been a while since I'd last had a really good savory pie, and good ones are most certainly not available in the Southeastern U.S. of A, so this experience was amplified a bit. The crust was spot-on, the fillings were flavorful, and the portion size definitely is large enough for most North Americans. Once we scarfed down the pies outside, the owner came outside and gave us some outstanding recommendations on NS and excellent conversation.
