I don't normally bother leaving feedback but made time to do so in this case. I was very wary of ordering a cake for my son's 21st online but liked the ease and the speed advertised. I read the reviews but do you ever read a bad one ?! I decided to go with it and I'm so glad I did ! The only part that was difficult was choosing a final design from the masses available. However I finally chose a personalised Keep Calm cake with chocolate cake filling. It was easy to order and personalise. I needed it for 29th June so I asked for dispatch on the 25th with a 2-3 day delivery therefore hoping it would come on the 27th / 28th. I had an email to say it would come on the 27th and a text that morning to give me a 1 hour time slot and option to leave with a neighbour if necessary perfect. The cake arrived within the time and - despite the delivery man carrying it on its side thanks to your brilliant packaging it was unscathed. It was exactly as I ordered and actually deeper than I thought but would it stand the taste test ? I needn't have worried. It all disappeared within minutes by guests and bar staff at the venue who all complimented on it and asked where I got it from, details I was pleased to share :) My only criticism is that the picture of the chocolate cake didn't do it justice, it was lovely and moist and chocolatey with Belgian chocolate chunks in it and consisted of 3 layers sandwiched together. It was yummy !! I would definitely recommend this business and use them again in the future. My niece is even considering ordering several different cakes and fillings to arrange on layered stands as a novelty wedding cake ! Efficient, reasonably priced and very very tasty. I ordered a medium birthday cake for my dads 50th birthday. It was a golfer design as my dad is a golf fanatic and i had personalised text put on to the cake. I chose a classic sponge to please all the guests but my ideal choice would of been the double chocolate chip filling to feed the chocoholic in me which will definately be my filling choice for the next cake i buy from baker days. The cake was delicious and even after 3 days it was still as moist as the day we opened it. The design looked exactly like the picture and the sponge cake tasted divine. All of the guests at my dads party commented on how lovely the cake was and also at what a fantastic price i got the cake for. Cheapest around at £24.99 and most definately the best cake and service. The packaging was superb as no damage could occur to the cake and also the balloons candles and party blowers were little extras i did not expect but were greatly appreciated. I needed the cake by the 4th of may and i received a phone call a week before to confirm which day i needed the cake by and when it was arranged for the 3rd of may it came promptly within the hour time slot specified. I cannot fault the service from baker days. Customer service is amazing. The baker who made the cake is amazing and i would recommend baker days to anyone. Excellent service & great idea of Letterbox cakes! I wanted to order some cake to be sent to my parents for their Anniversary. Most of the ones I found online were large elaborate ones that needed a delivery time which would not be suitable. I came across Bakerdays and their Letterbox cakes perfect! And then I discovered I could personalize it even better! It was straightforward to upload a photo & add text to my chosen cake. I did a bit of fiddling so their heads didn't appear chopped off then when I went through checkout I found that the date of dispatch would be Monday which was when I ideally wanted it to arrive (this was Friday pm) I rang up and got straight through to someone & explained & they very kindly said they would complete my order that afternoon if I completed the transaction within 5 mins (I'd just missed the deadline because of the fiddling!). I did that and the cake arrived Monday morning I was very impressed with the customer service to go the extra = that makes the difference. Wow! People are still talking about my 50th birthday cakes. I consider myself quite an accomplished baker (you should see my.) but Baker Days takes it to a new level. Firstly you get this masterpiece be that a shot you're particularly fond of, a design that means something to you or the person you're sending it to or, indeed, an actual masterpiece. They'll then recreate it for you in icing ready for your masterpiece to be wrapped around a cake of which your mother would take pride if you'd baked it. The chocolate is as good as cake gets unusually (and I hesitate to use this word) MOIST. What I love is how thin the icing is so you get more cake for your slice. But the greatest thing of all is the wow-appeal of when you open the box and see your masterpiece smiling back at you. My brother discovered Baker Days online as he lives abroad and wanted to send a birthday cake to our elderly father who was 94 and had recently lost our mother. So all the way from Madegascar to Notts came the order and a message to me to make sure it arrived in London!. We need not have worried. It arrived perfectly on time, beautifully wrapped so it was intact but above all quite superb. My brother had organised with Baker Days for a special message written on the cake and it was splendid. I just wanted to let you know that I was absolutely over the moon with my cake! It looked even better than in the picture! So pretty and the photo was literally as it looked in the photo. I don't know how you do it. It was brilliantly and safely packaged, you could see there was no chance of it breaking. The delivery details were excellent in giving you other options if you weren't going to be there and even a one hour slot when it would arrive which is so unusual nowadays. It looked so stunning and I said to a friend who knows what it tastes like, but it almost doesn't matter as it looks so amazing. But the true icing on the cake! was that it was delicious. I recieved my order of a medium size chocolate chip cake that i ordered for a birthday. I asked for it to be delivered to a public house which was no problem for them at all , the cake arrived on time and was fantasticaly packaged and presented. It looked amazing and had many compliments on how unique it was and how lovely the design was.We cut the cake into 8 biggish size pieces (you could get easily get 12 decent size portions) and everyone commented on how nice it tasted. The only downside was i didnt order a bigger size so therefore didnt get a second helping. I ordered a medium birthday cake for my husband's 40th birthday. I chose a design and adjusted the text, I liked the fact that you were shown a design of your chosen cake with your text on it before you placed your order. Once the order was placed I received an email confirmation and on the day of delivery I received a text with an hour time slot of when the cake would be delivered, it also included the drivers name! The cake arrived on time and was very well packaged it also included balloons and candles (a nice touch). I chose a chocolate cake and not only did it look good but it tasted fantastic. Thank you for such a lovely cake for my aunty. She loved it. I just googled on-line cakes and found you after about 3 other sites your site is so easy to get around, I love the wide choices available and especially good is being able to manipulate the text so I made the Happy Birthday small and the 'Dearest Aunty Pam' big as that put the emphasis on her cos she really is lovely. She is staying in a hotel in Greenock and I ordered the cake just before 2pm, and it arrived at 11.30 next day, just as she was coming through the front door what perfect timing!! I ordered a large choc chip sponge cake from Baker days for a customer to say congratulations. I sent them a basic personalised design featuring my customers logo which they finessed into a really nice looking cake. The cake was well received by my Customer with emails sent back to me with subject heading as Yummy. Baker days provided exemplary service and it was a real pleasure dealing with such helpful people, the turnaround time was great. 21st Birthday Cake We needed a cake for next day delivery for daughters 21st Birthday we ordered the celebration cake with 21on the top of the cake which included candles balloons card and love hearts. The time of arrival you could monitor and when 11.15 12.15 was given for time of delivery the cake arrived safely and within time. We opened in anticipation and it was perfect. I got the large (25-30 serving) cake for my mum's surprise 70th birthday party and was delighted with it. I ordered it on line, adjusted the text and had it delivered to my brother's house. It arrived within the 2-3days stated and was completely undamaged as it was so carefully packaged. I can not praise this company enough. I had been really busy at work at totally left getting my Mom's Birthday cake to the last minute (actually the day before!!!) i went on line and followed all the steps, I made a few mistakes so i called Andrea and she was so helpful.
