A very unassuming donut place with a variety of options located in a plaza with ample parking spots. The place itself is tiny but clean and organized. The staff is amazingly kind, patient and welcoming. Their donuts, or at least the ones we tried were delicious and unique in their own way. Stopped by on our trip down to San Diego. The breakfast burritos were just what we needed, chorizo was perfect and good quality tortillas. Popped in while waiting for some paint at a nearby paint shop. The section of donuts is awesome. The store offers everything from your standard donuts, to couture, donuts, and breakfast items, such as ham and cheese or ham croissants. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and it was the size of my face so that's good. I also ordered a 16 ounce coffee and an apple fritter. The apple fritter was delicious however on the smaller side compared to how big they get at other donut shops. The coffee was a bit weak, but OK. There was only one girl working at the counter and she was super friendly and professional. The place looked clean however it was quite small. I will definitely go back to try some of their other donuts. They had a blueberry glazed doughnut in the case that look like it was delicious and then the girl at the paint shop told me that that is her favorite donut. I forgot to take pictures of my food... We have picked up donuts for the office a few times since this donut spot opened up and they have a good variety of flavors. I love how they don't skimp on PB, icing or any other toppings. I'm not a huge donut fan, but this place has some really good flavors. The donuts are soft and always tastes fresh. I met the owner a few times and he seems really friendly. From my understanding he used to work at another donut shop before opening up his own shop, so he has years of experience in perfecting donuts. My favorite item is the croissant donut. If you haven't tried this place out, you should check them out. They're located in a busy area, but you can guarantee there's always parking. Not really sure how I discovered this spot. I think I saw an advertisement while scrolling through social media or on a feed. Nevertheless, I was excited to check it out. Stopped by with the family on a random Saturday afternoon. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and patient with us. He even politely explained each of the donuts and flavors to us. We selected a nice variety to a full dozen. All of the donuts were very good. We had differing opinions on our favorites, but all very good. I was kinda disappointed that there are no old fashioned donut options, which are my favorite I can't be the only one that loves the old fashioned. This donut shop is also strictly take-out. So if you were thinking about eating your donuts while drinking your coffee, you'll have to do it elsewhere Nowhere to sit, not even standing tables or stations. Want a donut??? The King of DONUTS throughout the day. I was turned on to some tasting yesterday. They brought in Maple Bacon, Orange flavored, Blueberry. They were so fresh. I had to ask and our office admin said Bakersfield Donut. Saturday morning I drove into Bakersfield. It was later in the morning, but they were trying to keep the shelves filled. OMG, Maple Bacon Bars, Nutella Donuts, Special Blueberry, Orangecicle donut, Cinnamon Crunch, and a big, round S'mores donut, with marshmallows, graham crackers and donuts. They also had the usual Buttermilk and Glazed and Bars of every flavor. My 2md favorite, are the lightly glazed donut holes. I could eat a dozen of these little gems. The donut shop is in a very busy strip mall, but it's worth waiting for a parking place. Our attendant was super friendly and a big hello to every customer who walks in. Go see them! Bakersfield Donut Company popped up on my Instagram feed and I must admit that I was influenced! I drove down to check out the latest donut shop in town. Parking was hard to come by on Saturday afternoon so be mindful of that. When you first walk in you can't help but notice the cute donut wall, perfect for a selfie moment. The space is a bit small and there's no seating option so it's all to-go. There was a lady at the register but she was sort of blocked from the view of the doorway so she didn't see me at first. She greeted me after she realized there was a customer in the shop. I was the only customer there at that time. The lady explained the different tiers of donuts and the different prices as well as the flavors. The donuts looked pretty. The strawberry and blueberry caught my eye. I ordered those and a chocolate with sprinkles and the jalapeño and cheese croissant. The whole experience felt very procedural. The staff member was polite but there wasn't a friendly warmth I'd expect from a donut shop. I didn't really feel welcomed or appreciated. Over the next couple days I made my way through the pastries and they were all great. My favorite was the strawberry cheesecake and the chocolate with sprinkles. She was very helpful on leaving the donuts organized and not messy she explained everything clearly she said the half dozens and dozens come with every classic donut you want but the reason the bougies were separate from the classics was because it does take longer to make and prepare than the classics so I understood. Small hidden donut shop inbetween the Starbucks and Long John Silvers off of Ming. When you look thru the window, it looks like a small typical donut shop with your staple donuts. You walk in and look closer to these donut, these are HUGE! I took a bite into my custard filled donut and was like wow, this is as bug as my face. I would say these are maybe 2 or 3 times bugger than your typical donut you would find at the Foster's or Angel donuts. They are abiut $2/donut. But I would say they are totally worth it! They call them ( atleast from what I see on my receipt) Bogie $2 donut Jelly. Yum. I also tried the Nutella and Strawberry Cherry Cheesecake. They look like your round donuts with topping. They had a few different flavors but these two are some flavors I like to eat. I didn't care for the Strawberry Cheesecake. Why did it taste like it had coconut? Weird. Might be this mornings taste buds. The Nutella, however, I could taste the flavor. The donuts are nice and fluffy. I just wish the topping to donut ratio had more topping.
