There were two reasons we stayed at this RV park Over others in the area. 1) the attraction of the river. But we discovered that the river was actually more of a canal and it was all dried up. Big bummer for our dog who loves to swim. 2) The pool which closed at 5 PM. This was very disappointing as we arrived at 4:15pm. The sites were spacious however there was no picnic table or barbecue provided. And could not connect to the weak WiFi Would definitely stay elsewhere if we ever come into Bakersfield again. read more

What a wonderful surprise to find this beautiful RV campground located right on the Kern River in Bakersfield. The facilities are pristine, there's some space between each of the RV parking pads. They have a nice store and Propane . There is a pool and spa. I highly recommend this park. They also do take Good Sam. read more

Very nice RV park but apparently Site 89 is also their dog park even though everyone has their own yard.

We stayed for two week ! Our spot we got was fine sense we were by the trash cans was not good. Very noisy freeways trains. I was very concerned that the bathrooms have no codes anyone can walk in while using the women's showers. I do t think it was a very safe place to stay. No gates on the entrance Homeless people walking in the bathrooms and laundry room. We will not stay again, We didn't feel safe. We will stay at the Crest from now on read more

Really a nice park!!! People are so nice...easy pull through which is great for us since we have a 42' fifth wheel. Clean...great people in the office and lots of food choices near by! And a pool! Will definitely stay again on our road trip north!!!! I give only 5 stars or one...either I would stay there again or not...this place is great!!!! read more

This place is amazing! We were on the road after a long drive and looked up places to stay around Bakersfield. When we saw the five star review we just had to stay there. We had never before stayed at a five star RV park. Everything positive that was mentioned previously is correct. It is a beautiful environment. We arrived after hours and just got a map off of the door which was so convenient. The spaces where perfect for our motor home with our trailer with our utv on it. There is more space in between sights than anywhere we stayed on our vacation. Then Noel, the manager of the park opened early so that we could pay our fee the next morning and get going on our travels. I would highly recommend this RV park! read more

Convenient location and easy check in and out even though we showed up and left while closed. Super clean and nice grounds and facility.

We were in Bakersfield for about ten weeks and this park was the biggest factor in our stay being excellent. The management is absolutely the best, and I've stayed in a lot of RV parks, coast to coast. The restrooms, facilities, store are all pretty impressive. Costco shopping and a few restaurants are in walking distance via a walk through gate. A pretty decent bike trail is just across the river. I used it often, rode up to Coffee Road access where I got coffee at Starbucks and some times shopped at the Trader Joe's. read more

This was our second visit to this park. There are two others we usually use depending on our reason for being in the area. This park may well be elevated in my preference. I don't care for the pull thru's. Check their website for more info on that. For a stay where I'm unhooking the dinghy anyway, I consider their back-ins the best sites of the 3 parks we use. Very nice young lady in the office. Very busy Costco about a block away. When the rains come, our back-in site will have had a great view of the river. read more

Excellent Location, I use this place for all my trips from Northern Calif to La area. It is very clean and the restrooms are super clean and modern. There is noise from the freeway but its location is easy on and off for travels. And a lot of local services nearby. read more

Our grand kids live in Bakersfield and River Run has been our stop-over location several times. Easy to get to and close to business if need arise. Excellent staff and clean surroundings. This is our 6th time staying at River Run RV Park in Bakersfield. This is not a destination park, but a great place to stay on your way to someplace else. It's quiet and peaceful and the staff is friendly and efficient and cater to their guests. The surrounding area is kind of industrial but the park is quiet, safe and clean. And it's right next to the Kern river. You can walk your dogs along the river. We love to arrive after a long day of travel and just relax! read more

Shocking! After driving thru the Mojave desert heading to Sequoia we needed to stop revitalize. We found River Run on line saw the excellent reviews. Driving thru the industrial area I had my doubts but this is a first class campground. Would return in a heart beat! read more

This was a very nice RV Park. We stopped here on our way to Las Vegas. It was so clean and quiet. We would stay here again.

Called on the road, the lady was super helpful guided us with no problem on the phone to our spot, which was beautiful and open. The nicest place we have been so far, pool maybe could have been colder!! but other than that there are no complaints!! read more

This place is beautiful but beware of the full time residents especially if you have children!!!! We stayed here twice on our way to and from the Grand Canyon - truly a beautiful park with lovely spots - bathrooms and showers are very nice (although locked all night long) - our problem was with the full time residents! The park allows political flags to be flown which at some point is going to cause a problem - most parks we stayed at during this trip banned these types of flags. There were 4 rvs in a row that all had "Don't blame me I voted for Trump" flags - doesn't bother us but our son was riding his bike around the park and two of these residents were sitting outside and said to him, "pretty nice bike, you should lock that up" and followed up with "we know where you live" - are you kidding me? Don't harass young boys who are on vacation riding their bike!!!!! Never ever had anyone do that to us before. My kid has a thick skin and he wasn't bothered, just want other families of children to know how the residents of this place treat the one night guests!!!!!! read more

A truly beautiful RV Park. Wide roadways, pull through spaces. Clean, wonderful bathrooms/showers. Very friendly staff. Answered the phone after hours and gave us the number of an open space. A little bit more expensive than some RV parks, but well worth it. If we are ever in the area again, that will be the place we stay. read more

I'll be stopping here again for one nighters in transit Tehachapi and the Mojave Desert. Large well maintained modern RV campground. Clean, modern, safe, quiet. Borders the Kern River with River access through locked C.L. fence. There is a family park across the river making for a quiet experience. Over 200 sites, several pull throughs are in excess of 100' should you need the room (heaven forbid). A pleasant discovery in Bakersfield ...otherwise not one of my favorite cities. Subtracted 1 star for being associated with Bakersfield ...and no fenced dog area. p read more

Excellent stopover spot! Everything we were told by one person to stay here was true! Green grass, concrete pads, easy RV parking, spacious, shade trees, etc, river walk and access, and clean! And lots of cable with excellent Wi-Fi. Staff were very friendly on check-in and anything you need is nearby. Rather HOT, but that is out of their control! And freeway noise is constant but Not disttactive. Not a great deal of attractions to tour etc. but a great spot to transit through! read more

Easy to get to, big-rig friendly and a short walk to restaurants! Costco is a short drive if you're sticking up. Sites are nicely sized and level with (working) full hook-ups. Bathrooms and showers are immaculate! Great stop on the way north or south! read more

We rented an RV for the first time and went on a Spring Break National Park trip. Bakersfield River Run was our last stop and it was the best RV Park we stayed at. It was very organized and extremely clean. The people staying there are serious RV travelers. The staff was very friendly. There's grass and trees. There is a river right there, but this is California so it's dry. Do not miss going to the Basque restaurant Benji's French Baque a 10 minute walk away or a 2 minute drive. read more

Stayed here late April 2018 in a FHU back-in site. This was our 2nd time staying in this park. It's nice and clean; very well cared for by the friendly staff. Lots of grass and beautiful flowers. Angled back-in sites are roomy and have grass next to the paved spot to park your RV. Nice pool and spa area. Small general store with supplies. Close to restaurants and shopping with easy access to the freeway. Will stay here again. read more

We stayed here on Saturday and it was a nice, clean quiet park in a safe neighborhood. The spaces were good sized and not too close together and allowed us to park a trailer, truck and another car. It was a great deal for $40 and rather cable was very good too! Many good places to eat nearby, a great place to stay while passing through! read more

Very nice, quiet and clean. Best yet, we had no reservations, but needed a place to spend the night and rest. They have an excellent "after hours" set-up and we were able to pick our spot from a list and fill in a reservation form for payment. If possible, though, I'd make reservations, just in case they are full. read more

On our way home from Palm Springs we wanted to stay somewhere different than we usually stay so I found this RV park on Yelp. I must say that I was really impressed with how nice the grounds are and how spacious the spots are...We were able to get a spot overlooking the river and it was awesome! Close to gas stations and restaurants. Staff was very nice and quick to check us in...we would definitely stay again and recommend this park to our family and friends! read more
