So many physicians run in, spend three minutes, bark some orders, then prescribe a ton of expensive medicine. I love that Dr. Fruendt actually listened and supported my desire to get rid of some of my medicine by changing easy things like diet and lifestyle! Every other practitioner I've seen in the past has been eager to go with the status quo and my chronic condition wasn't getting much better. It was…read moresad to see a former friend leave Huntsville, but it took that move (because her family were patients of Dr. Toland) to open up some wiggle room in her practice to allow my husband and me a spot, under her care at, at the time, Baily Cove Family Physicians. I think I've been going there around 13 years, probably more. The Huntsville Hospital name change really did not impact my experience in any way. No problems getting appointments or changing appointments and her staff are *never* rude or anything but kind - in every dealing/appointment that I've had with them. Dr. Toland is the most compassionate, caring individual you will find. She really listens to you, she understands women's issues and concerns and "cuts you some slack"and is never judgmental. She understands if life gets in the way and precludes some of the better health practices that we all strive to adhere to and is so reasonable and kind. As far as appointments go, she runs on time probably 99% of the time. She goes over your bloodwork in painstaking detail and answers and explains thoroughly any questions you may have. Refills are easy to obtain and they always have the lab paperwork where it is supposed to be, in advance of any appointments. I'm not sick much, but when I am, she will try to work me in and the nursing staff are all kind and compassionate, too. I almost hate to "go on and on" about Dr. Toland, because I do not believe she is accepting new patients, don't quote me, I could be wrong. There are other doctors on the staff at HHPC, I've never seen anyone other than Dr. Toland, so I cannot comment on their care. I'm sure they are as good as she is, based on the fact that there is no turnover and everyone there seems happy. Thank you, Dr. Toland! You make physicals and doctor's appointments a pleasure!

I had two visits this week to Gleneagles Family Medicine. I tested positive for Covid and was given…read moreprescription cough medication. After a few days, I feel like I am getting a sinus infection so I returned before the weekend. This medical office does a great job of working patients in. It is so popular that they are not taking new patients. It's been that way for at least 15 years it seems to me. Upon arrival with Dave, who probably has Covid because he is sick, we are immediately removed to a room away from the general population. I didn't mind. I don't have to sit in misery while I worry I might cough or sneeze with my mask on. Nobody wants to be near anyone who looks and feels sick. Doctor Brittany was out. Doctor Chrissy, more than capable of filling in for Doctor Brittany, checked us out. I have a secondary infection, sinus, developing. She checked me out and sent an e-prescription to Walgreens. Dave is positive for Covid. Doctor Chrissy sent cough medicine for him. Thankfully he wasn't as sick with Covid as I was. We have been patients at Gleneagles Family Medicine for years. Their willingness to work us in and the fabulous staff make for memorable office experiences. 5/5

I have been battling sinus issues for a month now. I get a sinus infection every fall and spring. I…read morehave been seeing the "doctors" at Gleneagles Family Medicine for probably half my life (I'm 32 now). They KNOW I have a history of this. They have refused to treat me and only want to test me for covid, which they had already done about a month ago. The test was negative. The doctor brushed off how I was feeling and said it was probably viral and gave me a prescription for antibiotics but told me not to fill them for a few days because he said I would start feeling better. I filled them immediately and took them as instructed. It's been a month and I am still having the same sinus related issues. They only wanted to test for covid again. I can't even count how many times I have been tested anymore and every single one of them has come back negative. Well I called and demanded treatment this morning. All I asked for was to be actually seen by a doctor or nurse practitioner and be given a steroid shot, antibiotics, and cough suppressant. After multiple phone calls to and from the nurse, not only was I NOT seen by a "doctor" or "nurse practitioner" I was literally given a steroid shot OUTSIDE in the alley. A nurse who did not identify herself came outside with a syringe, alcohol wipe and a band-aid. She said I could either bend over my front seat or step out of my vehicle to receive the shot. I have a very small car. I had to get out of my car and pull my butt out for anyone to see. After receiving the shot I had to ask for an antibiotic prescription again which was called into my pharmacy begrudgingly. I never received any prescription for my cough. This ally way that I just received my shot in is also where they do all of their drive by covid testing. So if I haven't had it before I probably do now....

His advice prompted the judge to recommended this be the treatment for me, and now i am ruined. Now, i know i wasn't even supposed to have crossed paths with this facility had i any control on that, but if he had any effective listening to the patient i still could have made a good outcome, and now, bullshit. They in the court process should have recommend the therapy outcome reasonably considering my milder diagnoses: that i was stable and can talk in right mind matter over, and the capacity to dos with a therapist was evident to him. he still refused to see that, insisting behaviors i exhibited in the hospital (that was result from my being that wrong environment i spent year fretting over), like my not eating their food, and refusing oral medicines) ,reason my mother didn't like about me, somehow reflected badly on me. bc i wasn't a violent, self harming, or loss of reality, hallucinating patient that required drugs. All i had was what they call partial loss on insight on a topic so pathetic, why they thought what they thought, but they was wrong. Their isn't no way my type of delusional behaviors adherence, which wasn't even a stereotypical clear cut case (even I'd recommend drugs for those), need anti psychotic for schizophrenics, and given how i strongly expressed my standards to everyone talk to me in that hospital, against not taking medicine my own right what i put in my body, not a thing did it do for me were violated, i need seek compensation for the physical alterations and mental aggravations done to me. Not only dd the medicine not do what They wanted it do to me which was something i never would bring upon my own self, but i told them it wouldn't and i also warned them and was agitated and paranoid and let them know how disturbed I'd be if i received it.
