One of the two issues I came in for was to see about removing a blood blister from my lip. Brandon McNichol, the PA I saw, was very nice and personable, but he could not tell me whether this was something they could accomplish in that office. He promised he would find out (he said he had to ask someone else, it was a case of did they have the right equipment) before I left, but that didn't happen, nor was there any phone call. I called back repeatedly over the course of two months. This visit was on January 8, and I still have not had anyone return my calls and messages, even though in all cases, I left both my cell number and my work number. I've left voice messages, I called repeatedly and pressed numbers in the auto system until I could reach a live person and left messages with them, but still... no return call. I was scheduled for a followup on March 8, but I've just cancelled it. I don't need to waste my time or money with an office that is either hugely disorganzied or doesn't understand the concept of customer service. I wasn't asking for anything big -- just an answer. Could they do what I needed done, or should I seek another dermatologist? I have an appointment now with another Dermatologist, and believe me, if I get even half way decent service from them, I will be singing their praises in all the same places I am now warning people to avoid Loven/Pinnacle.

The nurse took my health info and I put on the gown to show the doctor the discoloration of my skin and I had places on my arms that was irritated, sore and painful. The doctor came in, looking like he stepped out of GQ Magazine, and greeted me with a fist bump. Then looked at my chart for maybe 10 - 15 minutes and said the said he would give me the same prescription that the dermatologist I had seen 5 years ago. He never looked at me talk to to see what had changed or looked at my skin. Since I was in a gown I thought he would check my skin. Nope didn't happen. I was told to come back in 30 days. I think he fist bumped me again and walked back into GQ Magazine. No I didn't go back to and I already had a big jar of the medicine from before that didn't work then. I felt that he didn't care because yes I am Black. Need I to say more. I tried to write this review after that visit but somehow i didn't know how I would express my feelings of how I was treated. I'm a educated Black woman, but your race can keep you from getting fair treatment when you're sick. He never looked me in my face not once. The nurse was really nice and professional, she is a true healer for her craft. She saw me a patient not a black woman who was supposed to be mistreated because of the color of my skin.
