I'm really glad I started taking ballet with ALIGN!…read more The location is easy to find & park close for my night class with Desiré. The studio space is a nice size with a decent amount of nice students. You quickly become comfortable at the beginning of Align 1, since everyone has similar goals & we introduce ourselves. Desiré is very sweet & makes everything easy to understand without sacrificing a good challenge. It's not overly easy or hard & the environment is fun while still being professional/authenthic. I am athletic in many different hobbies but don't feel any better or worse than the majority that came from no fitness background, because it's simplified enough if you're not athletic yet, but will still work the muscles of anyone into fitness. Well-balanced. I really would love to continue through all the levels, if possible & the only thing that would hold me back is the fact that I commute to this studio. But, I schedule it like it's school.

I love that this program exists. I fell in love with ballet as a little girl when I took weekly classes for about a year--maybe less. Now, 45 years later, that I'm able to immerse myself back in it, is extraordinary. I've looked for adult ballet classes literally for decades, and was so glad when I found Align. They have so many locations--if you've been thinking about returning to ballet or about beginning ballet, start with Align!

I am an appreciator of the arts esp modern dance and ballet. However, I prefer to sit back and…read morewatch other people perform, so you can only guess the pained expression that I had on my face when my fiancée, who enjoys watching 'Dancing With the Stars,' suggested that we take dance lessons to do a choreographed Viennese waltz for our wedding dance. I'm was thinking, "Why?? It's just one more thing we have to worry about on the big day, no? Can't we just go out on the dance floor and just shift around to a slow song at a jr high school dance like everyone else?" In my nervousness and frustration over the prospect of getting up in front of a large audience of friends and family to put on a dance number, I found myself blaming Walt Disney. You know, all those fairy tale princesses and their ballroom dance scenes; Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and many others indoctrinating young girls all around the world to dream about that Snow White moment when someday their prince comes and they can be the "princess" and glide around the floor just like in the cartoon movies. Don't worry, my rant won't turn into a screed because fortunately for me, my fiancée chose to to seek out Murisa to help get us ready for our number on the big day. Murisa is wonderful instructor. As a novice to dancing/ballroom dancing, I had no idea how to properly move on the dance floor but her instruction helped me to clean up my form and movement by laying things out in terms that I was able to understand. Plus she was patient with us as we were looking for a song that inspired us (we changed songs twice) and changed the dance from a Viennese waltz to a traditional waltz then back to Viennese waltz. All in all we took ten lessons from Murisa. Each lesson is 45 mins and the lessons are held in a facility near Koreatown. The facility has a large dance floor that is shared by many other instructors and dancers of all levels. Murisa's scheduling is flexible, however, her time slots can fill up fast, so if you're in a time crunch to get ready before your wedding day, best do it soon!

Murisa is super talented and passionate when it comes to teaching people how to dance. Our 1st dance at our wedding was perfect because of her. Our favorite thing about Murisa was she actually taught us how to dance for a lifetime, not just one night. She really made it an enjoyable experience and it was one of the coolest things we have ever done in our life. We had zero experience prior to this and were nervous, but Murisa made every lesson a lot of fun and we can't thank her enough. My wife and I would recommend her of the time for anything dance related‼

The way the instructor approached her was aggressive and my 6 year old mentally blocked her out and walked out. I was still very determined to find a place that teaches our traditional Armenian dances and other dances as well. When I found out about iDance I took my daughter and she instantly fell in love with Ms. Lisa's warm approach and she has been going to iDance since it opened its doors. Ms. Lisa and Ms. A have done an amazing job by creating an atmosphere where the girls have fun and at the same time learn traditional, hip hop, and jazz dances. Both instructors have mastered on how to approach the girls and make them feel comfortable, loved, and excited when it's time to practice their choreography. There aren't enough words to explain just how happy I am. Ms. Lisa made my dream come true in seeing my little girl perform as a dancer. I always tell Ms. Lisa you turned out little ducklings into Swans. Love this place. Looking forward to seeing her perform on stage this coming November. One of my go-to places for Kpop dance classes in LA!…read more I love coming to Debut Dance District! Debut usually offers Kpop class series at different levels which can range from 2 weeks to a month. They also offer one day pop-up classes occasionally. You would need to reserve your spot at one of the classes online via their website. They also post what classes their teaching on Instagram and I like how they sometimes ask their students what Kpop songs they want to learn on there. Yireh, the owner and one of the instructors is great. I love taking her classes as she's super detailed and funny which makes the class enjoyable. The classes are shorter and pricier compared to other nearby dance studios, but what keeps me coming is the overall culture and vibe of this studio. Everyone is super nice and it's super friendly to all levels. The studio itself is nice and spacious. It is clean and well-maintained. There's also a parking lot downstairs with free and ample parking. There's even charging stations for electric cars.

I've never seen so many influencer type people packed into one room. Unfortunately, there are no lockers to put your belongings in so you throw it on the floor like everyone else. There is also only one bathroom for prob 70 girls, so try to go beforehand. As for the class itself, I did struggle a bit because I have no choreography background. It looked like the majority of people had some sort of dancing experience (or they were just naturally good). Also, it was so packed that I couldn't see the instructors in the front. I would recommend trying to get a spot in the front row, but you better be the first in line for that. Otherwise, good times.

I first started out ballet only as an alternative to pilates since pilates lessons were so $$$. But now, I am SO happy I tried out ballet, because it turned out to be so much fun and a really good workout. It's been over 6 months since starting ballet, and I've not only been shedding the pounds, but my overall body shape changed to be much more gracious, slender, and longer. Ballet is also more than a workout, it's a form of art. I get to express my feelings and dance my stress away each session, so it has been extremely therapeutic for me as well. I can feel myself growing into a mentally & physically healthier person. Jean Ballet is the oldest ballet school in ktown, so it is credible and proven. Jean teacher (and other teachers in the school) are one of the most passionate people you'll meet. Jean really sees her students as more than just a number, she forms a personal relationship with each person and helps them to strive to be the best. She doesn't force anyone, but leads by example. Although i have started ballet as a hobby in my 30s, I am getting better at it slowly and steadily. Sometimes I feel bad cus my body just doesn't move the way she instructs, but Jean teacher is always patient and really gives her best to correct my forms and posture. I am so grateful for that. I never imagined I would enjoy ballet, but now I can see myself continuing this hobby well into my future. Many adult students here have been continuing ballet for like 10 years, and I can understand why. It is addicting in a way. I totally recommend Jean Ballet to anyone who wants to challenge themselves and grow as a person, while developing a beautiful physique!
