(!) After we approached them about clarifying this confusion, Balloons Canada did work with us to get the price to within our budget which was admirable. I very much like Balloons Canada, their enthusiasm and knowledge are a definite plus and they work hard to make sure and execute flawlessly. If you use them, do your due-diligence and ask to go through and have them clarify the quote. They will bill for test set-up, extra product and samples which is expected, but look over the total price as it can seem like they are billing by the hour and, like I did, it's easy to miss-read. We had over 100 guests and we were going to use the balloon arch and backdrop for photos with our family and friends. I called them to find out where they were and the owner said they thought it was tomorrow as they "THOUGHT takedown was Monday". Firstly, we never discussed takedown being Monday, so this was a pure assumption on their part. Secondly, when you're hired for a once in a lifetime event like this and get the date wrong, this is UNPROFESSIONAL. You really just need to get one thing right, which is to show up and make a balloon arch - how hard is that? I'm deeply upset about this and nothing is going to make it right because my daughter only has this birthday once. It was her 100 days party - a party to introduce her to both sides of the family and close friends for the first time - not a typical birthday party so we can't have the same event again.
