The employees that came out to the venues to set up the balloons wanted to make sure I was happy with the results. Both parties, I received so many compliments. After multiple emails, the pricing kept changing, and every new quote added more questionable fees. They started with a reasonable number, then suddenly added inflated charges like excessive delivery fees, "basic labor," and extra handling fees that made the final total skyrocket. It felt very misleading and honestly like a bait-and-switch. I was not even booking a full event, just trying to rent a dance floor, and the final price was completely unreasonable for such a small request. We needed a 5 tables and 25 chairs delivered for a Memorial Day grad party we were hosting and were not able to place an order until the Friday before due to a family funeral the same week. When I couldn't get a person via the phone, I sent an email at 9:15am placing my inquiry/request, explaining my challenge, with the caveat that I would be unable to respond until 11:30 that day. At 10:15am, Kelly sent us a very reasonable estimate and indicated that they could deliver what we needed the next day and pick up on Tuesday. Jerry was super to work with, taking my multiple phone calls as the party grew in size and scope. 72 hours before our party, the weather looked questionable....and we didn't want to have gone to the lengths we did to have our party washed out. So, I called Jerry and asked to add a tent rental to our package. Sure thing, he said, no problem. And then offered to take off the delivery charge for the other items bc we had added the tent. (Every little bit helps, and he didn't have to offer.) Thursday morning, the truck was scheduled to arrive after 11 am. At 10, I decided I need 2 additional tablecloths. Again, no problem. The truck arrived as promised, and the guys got our tent up and tables delivered promptly and carefully---the linen tablecloths arrived already pressed and on hangers with plastic covers. Nice touch, much appreciated (who wants to be ironing the day of the party). Pick up was prompt as well. When you're planning a party, it's a job just to manage the details.
