I suggested he call them because I had such a positive experience and then realized I have only been sharing that with friends and family instead of in formal review. I was lucky enough to be Thor's solo student during my sessions and he did everything possible to make me comfortable. All of the skills were very personalized and he is very experienced and knowledgeable. Even more important, he was an excellent teacher. He was very patient and was quick to repeat skills that I misunderstood or was struggling with. The scuba world is very male dominated, but I was never the only female in the pool nor was I ever made to feel less capable than the male students doing a refresher course. Thor made the skills fun and he was meticulous about making sure I understood and could safely execute each one. I cannot recommend the shop or Thor enough to anyone starting out, but especially to women entering the water.

My son was anxious and Thor's encouraging teaching style allowed my son to learn, feel confident and do well in this course. By the end of the class, my son had so much fun and I felt comfortable with course. I highly recommend taking classes with YAY Scuba diving. We will be back for the next level of scuba diving classes in the spring!

The members here are just excited about working out as you are, which actually makes working out enjoyable. Can you say that about your current routine? The owners are constantly putting in overtime to make sure the space meets and exceeds the needs of their members. Almost every time I go to class they've ordered something new for us to play with, or organized an area of the gym that needed some extra love. For example, the old office was recently demolished to make room for additional lifting platforms so that the growing Strength class would have more room to spread out. SBCF is fully involved in the community, whether they're hosting a weightlifting meet or firing up the grill and breaking out the beer pong during a tailgate party. They have a super informative (and amusing) blog, and they also keep their Facebook and Twitter pages updated regularly with upcoming events, closures, and funny pictures and videos (I like that kind of stuff). The positive results I've seen in myself, both physically and mentally, make all the hard work completely worth it. I've worked out on my own in the past and have never had such amazing results. I've only been doing Crossfit for three months, but my friends are constantly commenting on how fit I look. They'll even make me flex my arms now and again. Oh, and ladies? If you've ever wanted to lift weights without feeling intimidated, this is absolutely the place to do it. No, you won't get bulky, but be warned: you may get into the best shape of your life.

I'm not sure exactly where it came from as they told us they are contracted with multiple vendors but it was good. They charge $100 to bring in outside food so if you're in between and do the math, it's worth it to just purchase through them! My baby thoroughly enjoyed his party and the adults enjoyed as well! The bubbles in the middle of the floor were a major hit while playing the Gracie's Corner "Happy Birthday"! My only critique is that the light floor was broken, which my child loves. Huge bummer! We had a great time, though! I was very happy with everything! All we had to bring was our cake, candles, and a lighter. The facility took care of everything else.

Her child was taking toys from other children and fighting, and Tiffany then took a balloon from my four-year-old, causing her to cry hysterically. When I asked to see Tiffany's name tag so I could properly identify her, she hid it under her shirt and threatened to call the police. She then called the police, and we were asked to leave after already paying admission, with no refund provided. I have an audio recording of the interaction. Extremely unprofessional conduct from a manager and not the kind of treatment I would expect at a children's facility.

We have been attending Monsters Dance Conventions for years, and though the training has been…read moredecent, a pattern has been consistent-- the seeming favoritism for awards and making Cast/Kids Cast, toward kids that dance super aggressively, jerky, and overly animated; even when they have zero musicality or natural talent. Anyone can learn choreography and dance "big", but not every child has the natural gift of musicality and creative dance ability. Just because someone is dancing HARD, doesn't mean they're dancing WELL. This important differentiation is often disregarded by Monsters staff/choreographers, and the kid who has aggressively bogarted their way to the front row, is moving very jerkily, and throwing hair around to compensate for their lack of musicality, is often the one praised and recognized for top honors. Unfortunately, this has in some cases, created a group of arrogant dancers whom have been pumped up and groomed to believe that they are more talented than they actually are, while some phenomenally talented kids with the TRUE gift of dance, are left doubting themselves, season after season. I have also noticed, especially in the Junior and Intermediate rooms, a leaning toward choosing White/Hispanic/Asian children for the highest awards; though they were clearly not the best in the room, nor had the best character-- while the little black girl/boy in the corner, that is able to dance circles around them, is left without even an acknowledgment. Though black kids are certainly nominated for Kids Cast, there appears to be a different bar for what is worthy of being recognized for top awards--and again, for some kids, a hard jerk, hair toss, and unnatural animation of facial expressions, is often all that is required to receive scholarships and Kids Cast nominations; while others with undeniable talent, that give 1000%, receive nothing. This has been consistent in the 8 years that we have been attending. And though they would likely deny such, there is strong evidence of politics going on... when you consistently see kids from certain studios, or whose parents have strategically created relationships with upper staff by being door monitor for classes, etc., win top awards, though again, they were inarguably, not the strongest dancer in the room, nor had the best character, it becomes pretty apparent what is occurring. Because of these things, we will no longer support Monsters Dance, nor line the pockets of staff who sell expensive dreams to kids, season after season, whom they know they will never acknowledge, nor give equal consideration to; while providing recognition and a career path, to some whom haven't earned it, nor were the most deserving.

I think the next-door baseball diamonds and soccer field are connected to the Francis Scott Key Elementary/Middle School. At least weekly, we spend a morning or afternoon at the semi-shaded younger-kids' playground. There's a curly slide, a many-featured climber-acrobatic structure, a sea serpent climber set, swings, a seesaw, a spinning saucer-seat, and other stuff i dont quite know names for.
