Upon entering the daycare at age 1 we saw him transforming into independed little person and it was fascinating to see how much knowledge he brought home each day at such young age. Any learning was incorporated into fun games or activities and some of the teachers we had should have gotten an award for going all out on transforming the classroom based on the theme fo the month. Baby #2 entered CA at age 4 months and I had absolutely no fear or hesitation trusting the staff with my child. Those ladies are on top of their game and they keep you informed with messages and photos throughout the day. Even infants have music and yoga classes! Side note director and the staff were extremely patient and supportive when my kid was going though prolonged potty training transition, delayed speech, etc. They also recognized and encouraged his positive qualities. Each child is different and unique and from my observation staff recognizes and utilizes different approaches. My son's class graduated from CA knowing all pre-K material (based on conversations with other parents) and all the learning was done though play, songs and fun. If a child gets upset the daycare is closed for the weekend or holiday, that pretty much tells you how they feel about going there :)

Ms.Taylor is very responsible, flexible and joyful. My daughter has develop so much, academically she's doing great. She is always looking forward to go back to the daycare. Mrs. Macias has a kind heart and kids love her, she has a special way when it comes to dealing with the kids and even with her short age the kids have alot of respect for her. If you have a child who doesn't move or speak, maybe this place is fine, but for my active son, paying over $1800 a month feels like throwing money away for a daycare that seems clueless about how to manage a child. After two consecutive days on 5/27--telling me I had half an hour to pick him up because he was climbing on furniture, which is typical kid behavior. I had to pull him out. My 18-month-old son faced discrimination from both the director and the regional director because of his special needs--he has a speech delay and is already receiving early intervention. When I took my first tour on 1/23, I explained all of my son's needs in great detail, and Victoria assured me that there would be no problem, that it was normal for his age. On the second tour on 3/11 with Rosie, I reiterated my son's needs, and once again, they said it was normal. Even uploaded and provided my son early intervention evaluation But when he started on 4/1, I received constant complaints. I was called on 4/3, 4/7, and 4/14 about minor incidents like biting another child, without anyone witnessing what actually happened. On 4/16, they reported he was running around and tried to bite a teacher's finger, and on 4/23, he hurt himself by slipping. Then on 5/5, he bit another child again without anyone clarifying the situation. That same day, they told me he put his hand in the toilet. This center has cornered me into providing documentation from doctors who have no clue what they're being asked for, since it's inappropriate for his age. They don't work with parents to help teach the kids; it's incredibly frustrating. Also when stuff happens to my son no report was given nor anyone knew what happened. Requested report from manager and still nothing.

She understands the needs of working parents since she is very involved and hands on herself, opening the center daily. She also used to be a teacher and is extremely supportive to her teaching team because she shares the same passion for providing quality care and education to children in the community. I truly couldn't have picked a better place to settle in my career. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful (you have to see it to believe it) and TLE's curriculum is hands down the most comprehensive educational program I've had the ability to work with. The curriculum and research development team ensures that each child is able to grow and develop independently while becoming caring members of society. It is because of this team that teachers are afforded the ability to focus their energy on being loving and nurturing caregivers while they execute the TLE curriculum created by corporate. On the first day of us meeting she mentioned that parents had access to cameras so that we could check in on our child being that he was first starting at the daycare. When I asked about it after enrolling him, she told me she didn't have the money to have them on because she didn't have enough students. Most of the days my son was alone. When I inquired about where the other children were, she responded with defensiveness. Bringing up pre-Covid numbers when in reality, they were very few children enrolled at her daycare. She also wouldn't allow us to show up unannounced, we needed to give her a heads up so that she could prepare. Which in my experience isn't right. Leads me to believe that she was hiding something. None of this would have been a problem wouldn't be a problem if the communication was clear and thorough. Whenever asked questions about what my son would do throughout the day it was met with aggravation and defensiveness she treated me and other family members who inquired with similar questions with the same level of distain. Her excuse was that she has several children and has been in this business for several years. I have never met a woman who works with children, who is so offended by a parents concern about their child. I have also never met a woman who works in childcare that views crying children as a problem, she was not solution oriented instead thought that a child, crying with an inconvenience to her business. There were several days where she had very limited information about what went on during our sons time at the daycare. She employed her children as well, who were also very unprofessional. There were many days where I rang the doorbell and was waiting outside with my baby and under 30° weather for 5-10 minutes, the reason being no one heard the doorbell, that is a hazard. Every time she answered the door she was on the phone as well. The children were kept in a dark room with the television on. she led me to believe that she was doing work on the rest of her house to open up the space so the children had room to play and move. That never happened either. All communication was done via text. One week she took off and close the daycare because it was her birthday and this was done last minute. This is supposed to be a family day care, and there is no professionalism warmth or familial energy at all. Save your money and your time!

But why lie about little things, makes me think what else could she be lying about? -Be weary of people who come across as over the top nice, should have listened to my gut. -There's a reason your kid is wearing a yellow shirt and comes home spotless, personally I think fear after what was witnessed. Please please please listen to your kids and ask many questions. Do not let an adult talk over them, especially at these young ages. Make sure to ask them what happens when they "get in trouble." Tell them that no one should abuse them even if they didn't behave and to tell you because you will not be mad. Many times adults will abuse a child and then blame it on them and threaten to tell the parents. Then the child keeps their mouth shut in fear of mommy or daddy being mad, so please ask the right questions and reinforce that they won't be in trouble with you. Im not accusing anyone of anything here but please for the sake of your child, ask them questions everyday, even if they have been there for years. We got lucky that the door was unlocked and we witnessed what we did early on, but based on reviews here, this has been uncaught for a while now. Lastly, it wasn't my child, yet... but we rather be safe than sorry.

Our first stayed through pre-k, the second stopped only because of the free local 3k, and our third is still happily enrolled. We've trusted this school for over 5 years with our 3 children, and have looked forward to sending each of our kids here. The admins are responsive, the teachers, for the most part, seem to love children and their jobs (we've had one over the years that wasn't great, but she is gone now). Many of the current teachers are the same as when my son started over 5 years ago. There is always strong communication throughout the day, they regularly post eating/sleeping/potty events as well as photos and videos so we can always see how our kids are doing. They eat healthy food and are given a wide variety of fun activities. As infants they help them learn to sit, walk, fine motor skills, even potty train them. As they grow older there is an academic schedule to help them learn their letters, counting, colors, etc. One of my sons went through a hitting phase, and the admins and his teachers sat with us to give us tools to help him, and made sure he wasn't endangering others in the class. When I bring my two older kids in to pick up the youngest, all the teachers remember them and there's always plenty of smiles and hugs. They do follow the DOE schedule, so are closed more often than I'd like (yeah, its annoying), but its worth it for the quality of care at a reasonable cost. As other reviewers have noted, Covid was not easy, especially on daycares. Yes, dropoff/pickup was inconvenient, yes it was hard to plan around cases shutting down classrooms, and yes it took a hit on morale and staff turnover, BUT these are all a direct result of them taking precaution and carefully following safety guidelines. I'm happy to say that none of my children got covid while at BKA, and I thank their thoroughness for this (these were pre-vaccine days, it was scary!). For the most part, all is back to normal now. I get that there's always an exception and some reviewers have had bad experiences, but we absolutely adore BKA, and most the parents we chat with do as well. It is a loving, caring, clean daycare (with outdoor space!) that we couldn't recommend more.

His very 1st day my son was sent home in a soggy diaper, wet clothes, and shoes on the wrong feet. I informed the school of various triggers, and habits. This was completely ignored and he would come home completely distressed everyday. My son also has a texture issue so he is very selective with foods. The school had me supply his food/milk/snacks/diapers/wipes ect. and pay over $300 weekly. The entire time my son was there they allowed him to do whatever he wanted. He rarely engaged in class routine and wasnt encouraged to do so either. There was nobody there knowledgeable about his diagnosis thus making it impossible for anyone to work with him. I have since pulled my son out of school and have been home schooling him. In the 5months since we started my son says words can identify numbers and some colors and has been open to other foods.
