Would give it 5 stars, but we've just eaten there for the first time. My husband had a pork dish, I had shrimp egg foo yung. The LARGE portions were very nicely presented and delicious. Restaurant is tastefully decorated and the employees were friendly and professional. We plan to go back and try some other things - like the Mongolian Grill! Traveling from California back to Kansas we stopped to eat supper. As Chinese food lovers we found this restaurant. We ordered broccoli with beef, deluxe chow mien and the sampler platter and cups of hot and sour soup. Everything was delicious and service was awesome. Definitely recommended!! read more

Not as good as they used to be. Service is still great but the quality of food has gone down the last few times we went. Veggies aren't as fresh and the different meats are tough. Shrimp dishes have much less shrimp in them and only veggies seem to be onions and green peppers. Boring. Sad to see this because we used to love coming for lunch. read more

We had Thai hot chicken curry bowls with steamed rice for lunch. They were well spiced and the sauce tasted good, however, no chicken... the bowls were filled with skin: chicken skin... no REAL chicken. When I pointed this out the waitress said they fry it first then put it in the sauce implying that was why it looked flat and bumpy. Although she didn't charge for my bowl, when we checked out she said it was NOT skin. I said I know chicken skin when I see it. Perhaps their Chinese food has REAL chicken but the two different Thai dishes we ordered both had nothing by the skin from the chicken with some vegetables. read more

The noodles were flavorless, the "chicken" was super chewy and untrustworthy, and the pot stickers had so much dough I forgot there was supposed to be meat in them. Left me feeling gross and heavy. Never going back again. read more

The single dinner combination was amazing! My girlfriend and I split a moo goo gai pan and sweet and sour shrimp. It came with an egg roll and cheese wonton and hot and sour soup. The place was quiet and nice, probably because it's an extra ten minutes from I-70. I'm glad I stopped in! Good food for cheap. read more

We have family in town and thought it was a great idea to order Chinese. Bad idea!!! I ordered the Szechwan Broccoli. My brother and father picked up the order. when they returned home, we discovered that they had made Beef Szechwan instead of Broccoli... I phoned the restaurant and told them of their mistake. I was simply told that they had written Beef but I could drive back down and pick up the correct order.... I explained my family was waiting for me to eat, everyone was hungry. They did not offer to deliver the correct order and pick up the incorrect one. She half heartedly offered a credit the next time we ordered but took no information to make a credit. I informed her that this was the second time they had sent the wrong order as the previous time we ordered soup and received an entrée. I was given a very weak , "Ohhh, sorry". She could have cared less. It must be nice to make a living from a business that knows absolutely nothing of customer service and does not have the slightest care in the world as to whether their clientele is actually happy or satisfied. Suffice to say, we will never order from Bamboo City again!!! Off to make myself some dinner now.... read more
