We had been traveling all day and the room was very nice and had all of the amenities I was looking for. I haven't previously stayed in this brand of hotel but I was quite pleased as other reviews left me wondering about my choice. We literally were here just overnight, so I can speak to the bar or restaurant. Front desk staff was polite in calling us a taxi for dinner and also as we left for the train station the next morning. We had a nice balcony that overlooked the dome of the church in which the famous Shroud of Turin is kept, which is essentially adjacent to the hotel. Great breakfast buffet each morning, nicely appointed and comfortable rooms, excellent showers. But, what sets this hotel apart is the service. All the staff are incredibly responsive and helpful. Parking is a breeze for only 25 euros. Just park outside the front door and your car is moved to a secure, private garage. If you will need again within the next couple of hours they will park in their interior courtyard. We used Turin as our base of operations, but on two occasions we left for two days (skiing at Courmayeur and bullet train to Rome). In both cases we didn't want to haul all of our luggage. No problem--they held our luggage until we returned. We enjoyed our time in Turin and will definitely come back. There's no question where we will stay--Grand Hotel Sitea!

But one of our party had relatives in town here who were not able to put us up so it was very handy for our visit. The property is modern and the rooms are actually close to five start quality with towel warmers, nice showers and very comfortable beds. Internet is extra but is available in all rooms. The breakfast which was included in the price is substantial and very good quality, Front desk is very accommodating and maid service was good. Only quibble is that the air conditioning did not work quite as effectively as it might have. A very enjoyable stay for a business traveler or someone visiting family in the area. It takes about 45 minutes to one hour to get to downtown Torino by walking to the nearby shopping mall and taking the #5 bus.

As an example, I couldn't get out on my cellphone and when I mentioned it to the waiter(Salvador), he worked with the front desk and they used the computer and many different approaches and finally found the issue. Verizon text wasn't much help by the way. The following morning my GPS didn't work because the cigarette lighter plug didn't work. So one of the staff tells me to take hers and just return it when I'm done. That's above and beyond expectations. The in house restaurant is awesome in that I had the waiter pick something a tourist might like and the chef really prepared tasty, sometimes odd looking, meals. This has been a great experience and added nicely to my skI vacation. I stayed and traveled out to four ski areas as this location was centered for travel.
