A gem of a little Chinese place in southeast GSO. I've been here before but not since they started serving hibachi. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and shrimp and it was sooo tasty. First of all it was a huge portion of food. Both the shrimp and chicken were so tender and juicy. The usual medley of zucchini, onion and broccoli were cooked crisp tender. It was served piping hot! I would definitely order this dish again. One of the best parts of my dining experience was my server, Sunshine.... Yes, that's her real name. And her disposition matched her name. She was a delight to have as a server and she's the one that recommended I get hibachi at a Chinese restaurant. And last but not least, they have the cutest reusable bags that perfectly fit a square, styrofoam take out box. Use it the next time you go or at any other restaurant. Well done, friends! read more

Not the best Chinese food! I got the shrimp fried rice, the fake rice with steamed shrimp! To each is own.... But nah!

This is my sister's favorite place for quick and delicious Chinese. She always gets the double honey chicken and a kids meal for her daughter. It's a convenient location with a large menu. Your order is given in reusable plastic containers for the kids meal which is great because the kids never finish their meal and we can take it and re warm it without worrying about it spilling. I wish the the adult items were in the same container in order to prevent any spillage. They also gave us the order in a reusable tote bag(love this) the restaurant isn't huge but it's a good size with a casual feel. Overall very happy with this place read more

Since I moved to the opposite side of town two years ago, I rarely have the opportunity to get food from here, because I'm not making a 20 min (one way) trip there lol. However, since I was on this side of town today, I decided to stop by and grab me some lunch. Around 1:55 PM on a Friday afternoon, I called and placed an order for pick up. I got their $8.55 lunch special which includes one or two meats and rice. The meats that I chose was black pepper chicken and honey chicken. This is what I always get. I chose steamed rice to go with it. I was told it would be 15 minutes. The price of the lunch special used to be $6.95, which is what I thought it was going to be per a photo I saw. After looking back, it was a photo from 4 years ago, lol. I arrived around 2pm and sat in my car for 5 minutes before going inside. In the window, they have a board with their daily specials. There is a sign on the door stating they are closed every Tuesday. This has been in effect since Sept. 7, 2021. I noticed a couple parties sitting in the dining area when I walked in. I was promptly greeted. My food was already ready and check out was smooth. Staff was friendly. I had to go pick my son up, so I ate in the car. The food was delicious, as to be expected. They haven't let me down yet! I can't wait to come back, and hopefully it won't be another year! Side Note: There is a decent sized area that's empty in front of their location. I came here on a Monday. When we walked up to the restaurant, the sign was not working so we were unsure if it was open. We saw other people enter so that is how we knew it was open. Once inside, we did not know if we sat ourselves or had to wait for a waiter to sit us. After about 5 minutes, we were told to pick a seat. Most of the booths on the outer walls were taken and there were a lot of to go orders being placed so the place seemed fairly popular. It took another 10 minutes for a waiter to come to us to ask our drink order. It seemed like they were under staffed that night. After putting in our food order, it did come out in a reasonable time. The crab rangoon was hot when it arrived, but the main dish was not hot when it arrived. I ordered the sesame chicken and the flavor was not anything special. Ok, so I have a mixed review on this place. My family and I tried this place after our neighbor said it was great food. It was really really good. But as our visit was almost to an end a little girl about the age of 8 came up and asked if she could take our card. While she is an employees child, we felt extremely uncomfortable having a child come take our check from us. We thought she was gonna take it to an adult to check ya out but we were wrong! She pulled up a chair to the point of sale, stood up in it, and checked us out! I looked at my husband and said, I wonder what state would do if they walked in here right now. Until today when we went our waiter did not get us the correct drinks and when we asked for white sauce for our food he never came back(I only like hibachi with white sauce) and he never came back to check on us after we got our food. Had a great lunch at Bamboo Grill, I ordered the Orange Chicken and an order of fried Gyoza. The orange chicken was great, had alot of orange zest that gave it great orange flavor and a hint of spicy heat from the red pepper flakes, it was very good, I would definitely order that again. The gyoza filling was a little odd tasting to me, I love some gyoza, but I was not a fan of the ones I had here. Our initial plan was to go to little sushi spot in the same shopping center, but, it was closed. Glancing around I noticed the Bamboo Grill. I decided to look them up on Yelp and check .out their menu. My 6 year old had her heart set in sushi, so I was pleasantly surprised to find several rolls listed on their menu, score! They also offer all of the traditional Chinese dishes you'd expect (General Tso's chicken, etc), and Japanese fare as well. Pros: Service was prompt and we were immediately sat at a table. We ordered off of their sushi menu (Spicy Salmon roll, California roll, Volcano and a Tiger roll). I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh everything tasted! We've been disappointed by several of our old sushi standbys recently, so it was refreshing to be pleased with our rolls. Cons: Zero ambience but with a ton of potential. The lighting was much brighter than you would expect and that detracted from our whole experience. My hot sake was anything but hot- it was cool which made it hard to swallow (but this girl won't waste alcohol!). Neutral: Our waiter appeared super rushed but he was friendly and competent made. We'll definitely come back for the sushi, but will probably call in a take out order since the place itself isn't much to look at. read more

Any Chinese food I eat has to pass one test in particular: can I recognize what I'm eating. I avoid the lower quality places outright. I can happily report that Bamboo Grill serves high-quality food. It is the best tasting Chinese in town that I've found. Lunch service was fast and the amount of food plentiful. Most importantly, the food tasted delicious. I've given a single star in praise of what it used to be like. We order shrimp fried rice, pork fried rice, sesame chicken, beef lo mein, wonton soup, and egg rolls. The fried rice included the requested protein and soy sauce (I think) there was also a small piece or two of an egg also. The wontons were unimpressive and the broth was bland. I got General Tso's Chicken & Beef w/Broccoli and steamed rice....the General T's sauce was gloopy and congealed & chicken was mushy, Beef & Broccoli was cold--like, just gotten out of the freezer and not warmed up long enough in a microwave kind of cold, and the rice was a pasty mush. Two friends had the Spicy Chicken which had a couple of pieces of chicken and huge chunks of onion as filler. Do not eat here. First off the service is slow and staff not very attentive. That I can get past, but finding a piece of clothing in my food I can not. I ordered a green salan and hibachi steak. The salad was not too good but not so bad either. The steak however had a piece of fabric from a cooks shirt in it. The piece was about the length and width of my pinky finger. I alerted my waitresd immediately, she used her bare fingers to fish it out of the food and said "it's just some of a shirt" and then walked away.
