This was our home away from during our stay in Tampa! We love pho and to be quite honest, it seems like good Vietnamese options are very limited around the area. The area felt very safe so we'd walk here for dinner on multiple weeknights! The vegan and chicken broth is phenomenal here. The taste is very distinct, it has a very good blend of sweet and savory. The vegetable spring rolls are also no joke. They're quite big and they might not leave you with much stomach space before the pho gets to the table. The pho was the perfect cold-front cure: steaming hot, deeply comforting, and felt like it reset my soul and core body temperature at the same time. Bamboozle has two locations. One in the Heights section of town and this one in Channelside. They have been servicing Tampa for many years and have a huge following. I am a huge fan of the fresh rolls. They have so many to choose from. They are filled with fresh veggies, herbs and protein and served with wonderful sauces. They are single rolls. Two rolls is more than enough for me however , if you are hungry you may want to add a soup or get another roll. They are so very healthy. Could not believe it was this good in this gentrified area. There was not one Asian worker but the food felt like home. Highly recommend the oxtail pho and the 4 piece taco! Everytime we go to Bamboozle, we leave with full bellies and happy hearts! This place is amazing, a small quaint restaurant that has a lot of natural sunlight and fresh plants distributed throughout. The service is also incredibly friendly and you can see that they are making the orders to-order so they are nice and fresh. I always get the vegan pho and my boyfriend loves the oxtail pho. I was craving Pho and googled healthy options in Tampa. This restaurant had pretty decent reviews and it was close by so I had to try it. This restaurant had the best Pho I've ever had as of yet! It was duck Pho and it was delicious, so flavorful, and fresh! They have health conscious Vietnamese and Asian fusion. You can also find something here if you are vegan which is a huge plus. I had a tiger shrimp roll which lacked a little flavor on its own but I could tell it was very straight forward ingredients and with the sauce it was a lot better! We stopped by Bamboozle for lunch on Sunday. Our first impression was that it reminded us of a shop one would find in NYC or Chicago. The staff was immediately friendly and offered answers to questions and suggestions. Between the four of us we tried the crispy duck roll, the steak Bahn Mi, the Pork Bahn Mi, the Lemongrass Tofu Bahn Mi, and the Beef Pho. Every dish was delicious. We enjoyed every bite and compared it to some of our favorites in the city. The entire experience was excellent even with a group comprised of kids, adults, vegetarians, and omnivores. Vietnamese food has been a favorite of mine for decades now. I search out Vietnamese restaurants both where I live and wherever I visit. So when I heard that Bamboozle had great reviews, I headed there the same day. Bamboozle's must have been having a bad day the day I ate there. My lovely lady and I tried three entrees: The Beef Pho, the Chicken Pho and the BBQ Pork Bahn Mi. Sorry to say that all three disappointed us. The Chicken Pho had really dry chunks of Chicken in the broth. The Beef Pho was barely lukewarm with not much flavor in the broth and the Bahn Mi sandwich has shredded lettuce instead of marinated Daikon Radish (which makes up a huge amount of Bahn Mi's flavor). I've had much better food in the opposite end of Tampa at Pho 813 on Henderson Blvd. I hope my disappointing visit was an unusual event at Bamboozle and that my next visit will be better. They are very conveniently located (walking distance) from our Tampa residence, so we hope our next visit will be better. read more
