I have visted the original locations near Mission in Oceanside for years. It's great to have another in the neighborhood. I almost always get a mocha here, as they know what they are doing with craft coffee. I love thier hot cups too, they are not flimsy! My favorite of BD is the art and merch available. Five stars for branding - I loved the fun vibes and banana everything, including cute mugs, shirts, hats, pencils, stickers, etc. The employees were helpful in suggesting drinks for our first visit. If you love banana-anything, this spot is a no brainer! They also have a lot of non-banana options (e.g. straight lattes, americanos, fruit smoothies, etc.) I wish you could get larger sizes, but as with a lot of niche coffee shops, they only have 1 size offering. The Dirty Nutty Dang was decadent and delish - banana chocolately peanut buttery smoothie with 2 shots of espresso. The ShakEned BaNana was also a hit - a smoothe banana flavored latte with oak milk. I visited Banana Dang when my family came to the area for spring break! We wanted to try something local to the area since Arizona now has so many of the California coffee chains. I loved the interior of the coffee shop, it looked like a great place to study or catch up with friends. We came on a Thursday morning and it wasn't busy, there was one other person in the shop. Have always loved Banana Dang in Oside, so happy to find another location! Luckily when we went it wasn't crazy busy so we could actually find seating. Although the location is a bit smaller than the Oside one, it's still got plenty of room and charm. Really welcoming with kind baristas as well. My husband and I both ordered the banana latte. VEGAN REVIEW What a concept! Came here for breakfast with 2 gal pals. I got the avo toast & a chai with oat milk. The avo toast was HUGE & I definitely recommend trying it on the rosemary bread. The chai was a bit sweet for my liking. The others in my party got banana based drinks & LOVE them, will have to give one a try if I return. Lots of vegan pastries, including cinnamon rolls that looked incredible Cute merch. Friendly staff. I drove 40 minutes just to come try this location. I had been in San Diego for 3 days and had tried various local coffee spots and I was so sad that none of them hit like my favorite spot. My husband and I like to go on morning motorcycl rides to new coffee shops every now and then. And I love a themed coffee shop! Banana dang is located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking which is one thing I look for when riding to somewhere new. I got the nutty dang and my husband got a Vietnamese coffee. We also split the nutty banana toast. Everything was so good! I didn't realize the nutty dang was blended and I usually do not order blended drinks but I really enjoyed this. The bread they use for the toast is thick and it was toasted just right. They do have a bathroom. It was very clean and pretty roomy. This location does seem more like a take it to go place more than a sit down to work/study/journal place. Probably if they had a drive thru, I'd stop by again when not on the bike. read more

The name is perfect for how you'll feel after taking a sip of their coffee. "Banana... DANG!" Typically when I visit SD I get Better Buzz, but I'm so glad I tried something new because this place is a hidden gem!! Everything is BANANAS. There is super cute banana themed decor and you really can't go wrong with any of their many banana drinks. I got the Dirty Banana Mylk and my partner got the Nutty Dang. The dirty banana mylk was a decadent blend of coconut milk, banana, and coffee. It was reminiscent of the coffee I would get in Hawaii. I also loved that it was vegan - they were really thinking of us lactose intolerant folks. The nutty dang is a MUST for peanut butter lovers. It had a thicker consistency so it was more like a shake, but overall a sweet and filling morning cup of joe. I took more pictures of the banana themed art than our drinks because it was just so fun to look at! Definitely come show this place to your friends, but I wouldn't say this is a great place for studying. It gets busy and it is a bit small inside. Lots of plaza parking! I ordered the Shakened Banana today. Fought the urge to chug it. It's so good. This is the third time ordering this drink recently. I consider the other drinks but end up ordering the same because I don't want to miss out on the Shakened Banana goodness. It's originally made with oat milk, something I wouldn't normally order. The way Banana Dang makes it has me thinking I should give oat milk more credit. (I didn't really like it in drinks from other coffee spots.) It seems to be a popular drink. There were a few orders ahead of mine ordering the same thing. The taste is consistent. The dining area has a few tables and chairs. Couch by the entrance. Banana Dang branded and banana themed items for sale. They accept Vista Bucks which is great too. If you use this as a payment method, type in the card details yourself. Did not know Banana Dang had a Vista location! The banana bread wasn't quite the same as the oceanside location but the drinks were still on point! This location had a great amount of space and seating options. Was able to come in the morning so it wasn't crowded or loud, quite enjoyable to just sit and sip on delicious banana coffee. Came here 4/5/25 around 10:45am. It was our first time being here, and it's a cute place. The place seemed to have about 8 people inside and the place isn't big. Eeverything was clean as well! I like that the menu isn't overwhelming and that there's a bit of personality in the establishment. The people seem cool as well. We ordered 2 avocado toasts, a dirty banana drink, and I forgot the other one but it had white chocolate. For me, since the Avocado toast seems to be all sourdough bread, it was just too sour for my liking. My bf liked it a lot though. Also, The Avocado toast was huge and I barely got through half. Came here to get this local gem! I've been to the Oceanside location before but parking can be a bit of a pain. This shopping center has plenty of parking, so I was already pleased! Service was slow as there was only 2 employees running the establishment. I ordered a dirty banana milk and my daughter had the nutty dang smoothie. Unfortunately, she only enjoyed a small portion before dropping it all over the sidewalk. :( I enjoyed the dirty banana milk but I think I wish it was more of a slushy texture. I drank it way too fast. We were also lucky enough to score the last vegan concha. I wish they had more vegan pastries! Overall, I would be back. It's less crowded (for now) than their Oceanside location. It's a bit pricey so not an everyday coffee place for me but it was definitely enjoyable. read more

Dang Banana Dang! I sure do love you! If our visits are any indication - three visits in 24 hours, I'd say I have a favorite new coffee place in town when I visit Vista. I had the shakened banana (espresso, banana puree, honey over oat milk and ice), each visit, the Nutty Banana toast twice and the cinnamon toast once. Their bread may be the best I've ever tasted, and the peanut butter is outstanding to boot. Add some sliced bananas and honey to it...chef's kiss. I loved the shakened banana and hay straws!? Whaaaa? My sister and I stopped by for a quick pick me up! I've been to a different location before, and I've been a fan of their coffee. I've tried their banana coffee, and it was good! I love their Oceanside location so I thought I would give their new spot a try. I brought my son in and he got an iced matcha with oat milk that was heavenly and I got my espresso. I'm not a big matcha guy but this place is going to make me a convert. The espresso was wonderfully bright and fruity but slightly burnt on the finish. I usually adore this- today it was very good- but not as excellent as I've had at their other location. My husband and I came here on Sunday morning and there was plenty of parking. We ordered the Blue Banana Mylk (minus the banana syrup) and Dirty Nutty Dang (2 shots of espresso for $2.50 to make it dirty) along with an avocado toast on sourdough bread. Both drink were delicious and filling. We split the toast since it was a large Texas toast size which was also filling. Each of the items were about $9. It has the perfect blend of banana and peanut butter and smoothie consistency is excellent. This is my second time trying Banana Dang! Me and my husband were pretty stoked when we saw that they finally opened up a Vista location, so we decided to stop here before the gym. I ordered the Dirty Banana Mylk coffee & my husband got the Vanilla Dang smoothie. I have to say the service was really nice. He greeted us upon entrance and explained what the Dirty Banana Mylk was. I was set when he said it was pretty much a thinly blended smoothie version with banana, oat milk, coconut creamer, etc. w/ cinnamon & a dirty espresso shot in it. I looove oat milk in my coffee and this drink was my absolute favorite because I wanted a bit of an ice-blended coffee. Did I mention that this was vegan?! Super delicious. My husband's smoothie was good. I think it could use less ice because it was more icy in the beginning, but after we let it sit for a bit and allowed the ice to melt, it was incredibly flavorful and yummy. The ambiance inside was much bigger than the Oceanside location, with multiple seating areas and cute banana artwork along the walls. It was clean and they had a cute Vista scrapbook on one of the tables to write down your "Favorite Places in Vista". I visited after hearing about this place from a friend. The staff are extremely friendly and willing to answer questions. I love banana flavored lattes, so I was excited to try this spot. The strip mall this location is at has a lot with plenty of parking. The downside is that it closes earlier than the other location.
