Super hip joint with friendly staff and yummy food. I loved the Thai Basil Chicken and Spicy Drunken noodles!

Husband and I were craving sushi after a full day of skiing…read moreon a Wed night. Found Inda Sushi on yelp. Service was great. We were seated right away and the gentleman who waited on us was very pleasant. It is a sushi fusion restaurant so when browsing the menu, some sushi dishes looked quite unfamiliar or unusual. But don't let that deter you from tasting them. We ordered calamari and edamame for appetizers and for the main entre I ordered the Hot Uncle and hubby ordered the Salt & Pepper sushi rolls. Both were delicious and were recommended by our server. They serve big servings. For the sushi rolls- no need to dip in soy sauce- it is already very flavorful. Would definitely come back if we are back in Whitefish or would recommend to friends. Local vibe with good music.

And it too, a Good Juju roll, along with this curry flavor, was extremely hot. It's almost like someone in the kitchen was trying to see how eclectic they can make their sushi rolls. Terrible. Absolutely too hot and spicy for any typical sushi. More like Thai food. I do not recommend this place. Plus, they were supposed to label our rolls, as part of our to go order, and they did not. We did finally figure out which roll was which. Go somewhere else. They also added on a credit card charge and a local resort charge. This place is expensive and not worth it.

They gave us menus and I assumed they didn't have a kids menu because I wasn't given one, I had asked the server about it and she went and retrieved one for us. The menu is confusing, as we learned while ordering there is a difference between hibachi and sushi. If you sit on the sushi side you CANNOT order from a certain part of the menu and vice versa. There should be separate menus for this. Throughout the service the server did a good job checking on us but at the end she had dirty tables and we were neglected. The guests sitting around us were given boxes, checks, and cashed out before we ever were. We sat there for quite a while before the server offered us dessert, which by that time we were way more than ready to just leave. I understand busy, but this server prebussed our table until we only had drinks while the guests around us tables were filthy, but those people were cashed out and they left. Then we saw her snipping at a busboy to clear her tables for her. For food, 2 of us got sushi rolls, 1 of us got a steak and vegetable, and the kids chicken meal. The sushi was yummy, the steak was horrible- just horrible, and the kids was a very good portion; my son only ate the rice so the rest of us ate his food. He wasn't a fan of the sauce on the chicken. Service goes a long way in a restaurant and it can make a bad meal seem ok as long as you're taken care of. We were disappointed.

(I had been here once last summer and it tasted very good.) This was not at all what we hoped for. The worst part was the food. I ordered pad thai and my wife ordered the red curry. I ordered a spice level 10 (hottest), and my wife ordered a level 8. Our food was at a spice level 2--almost no heat. My kids could easily handle the spice level. And the flavors were pathetically bland. With our experience in Thailand, we can confidently say the food is just sub-par. I wanted to at least request some salt (or some fish sauce and a spice tray like most Thai restaurants have), but no one ever came back to check on us. This brings me to the second worst part of the evening. The waitstaff showed very little enthusiasm. They took our order and dropped off the food. That was it. There were only three other customers in the restaurant. Even though we had disappointment with the food, there was nobody we could voice our concerns to. Another annoying factor was that, they had 80s hairband rock music pumped up pretty loud. It is just not conducive to enjoying your time. We didn't stay to finish our meal because the whole experience was so disappointing. Since the weight staff never came back to our table, I had to go upfront finally and ask for the check so we could leave. My recommendation is that you get your Thai food elsewhere--or just don't get your hopes up. Although it's not Thai, we'd recommend heading to Pho888 just one block away, or Hokkaido next door. We wish we had chosen either of them instead. Granted, Kalispell is not a sought after center for authentic Asian cuisine, and we know that. But this experience tonight was just a waste of time and money. (We headed to The River Coffee Company so we could at least somewhat rescue the remainder of our date night. Highly recommended!)

Gotta downgrade Wasabi this time 'round…read more This is a regular stop when in MT, mostly on tradition because we came here on our honeymoon and took a pic at the bar. This time, the whole experience was a bit of a 'one off'. The Good - Actually...nothing to report here. The Meh - Not sure if the sushi goes here, or in the 'Bad' section. Twenty years ago and the first few times after that, the sushi was crisp, unusually tasty with a bit of a 'surprise'. We loved it. 5 years ago, it was 'ok'. This time, just really marginal. The rice was dry and so were the ingredients. Disappointing. The Bad - The staff were all going on and on and on about their music and their gigs and music theory...blah blah blah, while we sat and waited for our food. We realized at some point that they were cranking out large to-go orders while we waited. Boo. No good. Take care of those who made the time and effort to come to your business and eat. I don't often award one star, but Wasabi gets one for this experience. Post-dining discussion came down to whether we'd ever come back. We decided that yes, we'd probably return for our pic at the bar and a quick sake, but we'd eat in one of the other many restaurants in Whitefish.

I'm attaching a picture of their menu but $15 for yellow tail, $16 for salmon and $19 for salmon eggs is out of control. Should be $$$$ not $$. I don't mind spending $500 for 3 people bur in this establishment I couldn't or wouldn't consider it. Many places to eat in Whitefish leave this to the locals if they crave average sushi.

The buffet was well stocked, with a nice variety of chicken, shrimp, and vegetarian dishes, along with salad, naan, rice and desserts. Overall, the flavors were enjoyable and well-seasoned. The only downside was that the chicken was a bit dry, though still flavorful. One nice touch is that beverages are included with the buffet. We ordered a mango lassi and masala chai, and both were absolutely delicious --definitely highlights of the meal. The dessert selection included carrot pudding and ras gulla (pillowy, spongy balls soaked in syrup), fruit salad and 2 other unlabeled square bars. While they appeared authentic, they were a little too sweet for our taste or lack of flavor so we weren't as excited about that part of the buffet. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was comfortable. We also appreciated how the buffet was set up and maintained. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we'd be interested in coming back to try some of their à la carte menu items next time.
