I usually just buy giant sparklers and a few small fountains. I live in the city so fire works are illegal. I keep it quiet. This year, Jake's had something new, scanners for the fireworks that instead of showing you the price, which is clearly marked, it shows you what the firework does. That was cool. Not all the inventory had videos, but enough that I bought more than I usually do because I knew it would not be a disappointment when I lit the fountains. They also have a VIP program which was easy to join and I haven't been swamped with emails, texts about specials. It might have something to do with being in OK and our laws.

It shouldn't be closed for a week for the 4th of July and it should be completely cleaned of all debris from the fireworks when it reopens, closing it for other activities limits the time when people are able to use the park for jogging or walking their dogs and I don't think that is right especially if that is something that the park was put there for.

We got there right when they opened up, we were pretty excited because SFX is not carried by anyone else in Oklahoma. We were greeted but not stalked. After being there a few minutes a woman came out of the building next to the stand and greeted us also. She was very kind and asked me and my husband if it was alright to paint my daughters face, which we allowed and my daughter LOVED! We talked a bit while shopping for fireworks and then she gifted my daughter one of their kid bags and lei necklaces. She asked to take a picture of us for their Facebook page, which we allowed. They even used the diving board a few times. They thoroughly enjoyed it. The downside of our visit was the three young adult girls wearing g-strings and walking around small children. My youngest was horrified that he could see their "tushies". There's a place for such things but it's not in a children's area. It's indecent and I was surprised they were allowed in. They offer a military discount and if you join their vip Program you will get a free firework cake! Everyone was really friendly & everyone was really qualified to answer questions.
