Consistent and reliable. Don't hesitate to stop in for Thai when you're passing through Gloucester. Spiciness levels are accurate, nat least the dishes we have ordered. Service is good, we've stopped in three times now over the last year or so. One of the best Thai restaurants, I've had the pleasure of eating at. Chicken red curry, and chicken pad Thai, are my go too's.

My coworker wanted to grab takeout since this place is just a short walk from work, so I went along. I ordered the fried crab rice at a #4 spice level, which they said was Thai hot, but it really wasn't spicy. Still, the rice was flavorful with a good amount of crab meat. I also had a sushi roll and thought it was great. I'd definitely get the lava roll again. I was only here because of work in the area (I came from Newport News), but I wouldn't make a special trip just for the food unless I happened to be nearby. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! went out to dinner with my parents and we waited an HOUR for our food. It wasn't even very busy. We were patient and polite and after our food finally arrived an hour later my mom asked our waitress if she could bring the manager She said she'd "ask" then disappeared. Eventually to reply "my manger said he can't do anything or do a discount." The manager had a dissatisfied table and refused to even come over and address the situation. I went with a friend back in August, (I forgot to write this review). The place is nicely decorated and I remember we sat outside and they had bug spray you could spray which was very nice! The server was very nice and attentive. I had gotten this crab, scallop, shrimp meal...and it was very expensive but I knew I was near or close to water and so it would be good quality and the waitress had said that it came with a good amount of shrimp, scallops and crab because I asked since it was so expensive. I had asked if it was in a spicy sauce and she said yes and that she can have them take out the spice. When my meal came it had 1 piece of crab, 1 piece of Shrimp and 1 scallop and the sauce was soooooooooo spicy. I couldn't actually eat it. The girl said they could remake it without the spice but my friends already finished the food they had and I was disappointed by the lack of food for a lot of money. read more

I had pork pad kra-pao after starting with sushi. I drank my fill of hot tea and devoured everything on the plates. The basil flavor was perfect and the veggies were nicely cooked. Popped in for lunch. Seated right away and staff was all friendly. The menu was pretty extensive. We crab rangoons and spring rolls, and having never been to a Thai restaurant, I stuck with Pad Thai. It was all excellent and flavorful. My husband got a spicy chicken dish, customized his spice level with some help from the waiter and it was also really good. Great portion size for the price. I normally do not go to Thai restaurants but, this one was recommended by a work mate. I always thought it was spicy so I was a little apprehensive at first. I ordered the fried rice with shrimp and ice tea to drink. It was very good and not spicy at all. Plenty of food. You don't leave hungry. The service, by Cameron, was very friendly. He completely got all our orders with no mistakes. The restaurant is child friendly and very clean. They also have lunch specials that are reasonably priced. My first experience at Bangkok Noi was great, and well worth the pricey expense. We came back tonight, and for $24 I ordered the classic Drunken Noodle, and it was extremely disappointing. It had an oily layer, and so many onions, I thought if ordered it without onions, it would be nonexistent. We also tried the Calamari and Veg dish, which came with 3 calamari, and a basket of battered deep fried carrots. Sad. I tried to send the noodles back, and was told, "That's how it is." read more

They were about to close at 8 PM so maybe it was just bad timing when we were seated shortly after 7. We ordered appetizers of pre packaged, frozen reheated Jeep Dumplings, and shrimp, which were barely edible. Our entree was a $26 Spider Roll with soft shell crab. It was mushy and tasteless. Loved the service and the food! The restaurant was lovely, and the sushi is pretty great for the location, lives up to all the recommendations. However, expect a wait if you do come for the sushi, as there is only one chef making all the sushi orders! We had plenty of time and did not mind at all, but if your time is tight consider ordering from the main menu, as we ended up waiting for over 45 minutes when the restaurant was full, with an order of four rolls. The staff was lovely! And of course, considering that sushi is their most popular dish, their menu consists of a mixture of Asian cuisines, I wouldn't actually consider it Thai focused. Would love to give five stars but I know speed is very important for some people, I do hope the sushi chef gets some assistance soon! read more

Almost certainly the best food we've had in the region from any restaurant. I got the Pottery Seafood, and husband got the red curry. We had Fresh Spring Rolls to start, and Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice for dessert. The seafood was cooked to perfection, and was fresh, as were the vegetables. The seasonings were superb - absolutely delicious. The dessert combined warm rice with cool mango and a delicious topping. It was just marvelous! A few months ago, we happened to stop here because it was close to our hotel. And when the food did not disappoint! We live almost 3 hours away and purposely planned a trip to Williamsburg so we could stop here one of the nights. Williamsburg is about a 35 minute drive to Bangkok Noi but it's worth it! The Drunken noodles are great as well as their pad Thai. The service is usually very good, although they seem to suffer from high turnover. My wife and I decided to try out Bangkok Noi in Gloucester. Nice dining atmosphere and the service was pretty good. We ordered their Calamari for our appetizer. It had about six pieces of calamari and a bunch of fried vegetables. It cost $11.00. It should be listed on the menu as fried vegetables with some calamari. My wife had the Pad Kra-Pao and I had Pad Thai. The entrees were just okay. Seemed to have more veggies than meat. These were both $16.00.
