Bangkok Spice has become one of my absolute favorite spots in Anaheim, and I can't recommend it enough! The food is incredible -- I always go back for the Pad Kee Mao, Pad See Ew, Tom Yum Soup, and Papaya Salad. Every dish is packed with flavor and comes out beautifully. The service is warm and attentive, and the restaurant itself is spotlessly clean. No alcohol on the menu, but here's the hidden gem: they allow BYOB -- and Stater Bros is literally in the same plaza. Grab a bottle of wine or a six-pack before you sit down and you've got a perfect, affordable night out. Great food, great prices, great vibes. This place deserves all the stars. read more

On Saturday night at 6:30 pm, I called and ordered mixed veggies and pork, green curry chicken, and very spicy red curry chicken. All three were reasonably priced and Delicious! They said 20 minutes, I got there in 13 and my order was sitting there ready to. All entrees come with plenty of rice. It wasn't very busy. Wife and I tried Bangkok Sprice for the first time last night and LOVED it, we got the Chicken pad Thai, beef and green beans and the yellow curry. Food was delicious, I really liked that the noodles weren't all stuck together and every dish tasted uniquely individual (unlike other places where it all tastes the same) place was clean, staff is friendly and pick up was nice and fast. I would give more than 5 stars if there was an option to. This is my favorite, local Thai food place. I've had several different dishes (pad Thai, curries, drunken noodles, veggies, soups, etc). Everything I've had here is amazing and also tastes better than other nearby places (better quality and value!). Plus, I love knowing I'm supporting a local, family business. ***COVID19 review dine-in experience*** OMG. This place is LIT. How did we not ever try this Thai place out in our neighborhood? I'm surprised with the portion size and flavors of what we ordered. DEFINITELY will be coming back here to try other items on their menu. So far so good! Food: - Pad Thai Chicken ($10.95): Lets say they didnt jack up their prices from COVID which is appreciated. The dish itself is SUPERB. The color is spot on first of all - a deel orange color as one would expect. Flavors are ON POINT - perfect deep pad thai flavors of sweet and savory. Noodles were perfectly cooked where you still get a little bit of resistance. LARGE portion size so one person would be pretty full from it. I loved the texture differences. Chicken was standard chicken one uses for these dishses. YUM - I am impressed. - Panang Curry Chicken ($10.95): PLEASE NOTE to ask for little-no spice if you want more of the sweetness of this curry to stand out. It comes a bit spicier than normal. But portion size is pretty big, loved the deep orange/red colors, and the curry is semi-thick coconut milk texture which was very appreciated and kept it rich in flavor. Chicken, veggies were all cooked well and complemented the curry. I'll try a different curry next time but it was still a delicious option. * Note that it comes with a big bowl of rice. Expect it to be bigger than 1 bowl of normal sized rice. Splitting into two is decent. Pros: - FLAVORS were great. Continual "mmmhmm"s were flowing at our table. Very unsolicited. **During Quarantine Review: April 2021** I say this in the more endearing way, but the outdated decor tells me that this restaurant has been in business for many many years, and the constant traffic on pick-up orders from returning customers shows me that it's a neighborhood staple. Based on those two observations I was very enthusiastic about the prospects for dinner as I had a fairly disappointing lunch earlier that day. Not only did satisfy my voracious appetite, but I think it's one of the best authentic Thai restaurants in OC. My friend and I ordered three items and each were delicious. The Tom Kha Gai Soup came out first and the shrimp was plump and had the perfect texture (unlike other places where it tastes like it's been overcooked). The Pad See Ew had a nice fried dry texture and boy that portion was enormous! It also had a small kick to it, which stands out among other places that serves this dish. Additionally the Yellow Curry (while my least favorite) was still seasoned and a very filling dish. Really enjoyed the dishes here and the service was on point. A true "hole in the wall " in a good way Staff/service- nothing exciting. They are friendly. I've only ordered to go, so not sure how the in restaurant dining experience is. Food- the obvious Thai selections. Flavor is good, portions are good, spice level is good. It checks all the boxes for what you'd want in a to-go Thai restaurant. This is a pretty good Thai place hidden in a Stater Bros shopping plaza.  There aren't too many Thai places in North Orange County.  I'm glad this one is kind of close to us.  We tend to order takeout out rather than dining in. We like their Thai fried rice and Pad See Ew.  The Spicy Fried rice is barely a hint of heat so that was a disappointment. You can even get tofu as your protein if you don't want meat or chicken, which is always nice for Meatless Mondays. I have gone to this place twice for their amazing lunch specials. First time I ordered for pick up and I got the Pad Thai with their steamed rice, salad and their egg rolls. The Pad Thai was super tasty and their rice was well made. The lunch special is still the perfect amount of food that will leave you full and satisfied. I was not able to finish my Pad Thai but ended up taking it home to eat for dinner. The second time I ended up eating at the restaurant because I had time to spare. I was craving a soup and decided to get a bowl of their Tom Yum Gai. I am such a big fan of Tom Yum soup because I LOVE mushrooms and they served this bowl of soup with a fantastic amount of mushrooms. The soup was amazing, and I added a side of rice so I can put some in my soup. There also was a good amount of chicken in it, although I kind of wish I added shrimp in it instead. Been here 2-3 times as it's close to my work and each time I go I like it better. The pad thai is splendid as is the Cashew Nut, Thai Sweet and Sour as well as their Thai Tea. Great flavor! It's a great little find in an unexpected dingy strip mall but judging by how crowded it gets at lunchtime, many have also made this discovery. Great service, too. Quick summary: no utensils were provided and food was alright, somewhat bland. I would rate this place a 3.5 star, since I feel like I wasn't completely given proper service for my first time here. I got chicken pad thai, beef pad see sew and yellow chicken curry. Rice was provided for the curry. I picked up the food and tipped. With tip my total was $40 for to go. Somewhat a decent price for the amount of food. After picking up the food I drove home and to eat with my bf. When opening the bag of food I realized there was no utensils or napkims provided. This is one of my pet peeves. If I order food I would hope they provide some kind of utensils or at least ask if we needed some. Luckily I was home and was able to use my own. It's just sometimes I do pick up food to eat somewhere else, like a park etc where utensils are easily accessible. Now onto the food. I did like the food, but to be fair the food was kinda average. The Pad Thai was probably my favorite dish out of the three, but the pad see sew and yellow curry was bland and the chicken in the yellow curry was dry. For an average thai food place I did not expect too much. But I will definitely be coming back here again, hopefully I will have a better experience and update my rating :) read more

This is definitely my favorite in Orange County. It's tucked away in a dated grocery store plaza/mini strip mall, and easily blends into its surroundings so if you weren't aware of it tucked between some vacant offices and a smoke shop, you might easily miss it. Compared to other Thai restaurants in the area this one is low key and the Menu items are as reasonably priced as they are delicious! I don't refer to Bangcock Spice as a "hole in the wall" because it's too clean to merit such a label. But it comes close. The artwork that adorns the walls lends to a somewhat authentic atmosphere. Every time I've been, the gal who runs the front end of things, "Mai" has been friendly and fast on her feet. The cuisine is consistently delicious. Start out with Chicken Satay or Wonton Soup, Yellow or Green Chicken Curry, Chicken Pad Thai and mango with Sweet Rice for dessert. Don't forget the Thai Iced Tea either! Since reopening in this age of Covid19 It's the same great experience. Tables have been marked as unavailable or removed, leaving the dining area open and airy. First time here as we happened to be in the area and had a hankering for either some Japanese or Thai dinner. Decided on Thai as it just sounded more comforting and "substantial." Yelp brought us here, the closest to where we were at the time. Being a small, older shopping center right a cross from the railway tracks, I thought, oh oh, what were we getting ourselves into. But then again, some the best food discoveries I've made over the years were at .....eerm.....lower profile areas. I'm so glad we found got to try this Thai restaurant.....it's basically a cute, quiet, casual, and what looked liked a family run restaurant, that serves up very good Thai food. Service was very warm and friendly, and I can say that we were well taken care of. We went ahead and ordered the Eggplant Salad with Chicken (or choice of beef, or pork), Green Curry with Chicken, and the Pad Woon Sen (Stir-fried glass noodles ....less carby.....with mixed vegetables, egg, and tomatoes) with Chicken. These dishes are pretty authentic Thai dishes that I have tried various versions of when I lived in Asia.....all I can say is that they were all really good! Ingredients were fresh, dishes were not over seasoned (or salty), and they were prepared to delicious perfection. In fact, as stuffed as we were toward the end, everything was so good that we had absolutely no leftovers after!......well, except for some of the rice that we never ordered in the first place. Best Thai food we have had in OC by far!! We were ready to give up but wow, it's so good. We had the papaya salad, which was deliciously tangy and sour and had a good amount of heat. We also had shrimp pad see ew (good portion, so perfectly savory and chewy), red curry with tofu (so flavorful with a lot of bamboo - my fav!), and pad krapow. Found this little mom and pop Thai restaurant that was absolutely delicious! The portion is abundant- more than enough for one! I ordered the Pad Kee Mow with pork as my protein. My colleagues who tried Thai for the first time was genuinely surprised on how tasty it was! They ordered the lunch special which is $9.99- comes with soup, egg roll, and various noodle or protein dish with rice/. My other friend ordered the Spicy Fried Rice and said it was very flavorful. I finally decided to give this place a try and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the classic chicken pad thai for takeout and it was delicious. It had very nice flavor.
