What a wonderful surprise!…read more I was in the mood for kebabs and headed to my usual spot, only to find it closed. Rather than give up, I decided to try this Afghan restaurant--and I am so glad I did! The lamb kebab was absolutely outstanding: tender, flavorful, and packed with spices that complemented the meat perfectly. Best of all, it wasn't overly salty, which allowed all of the rich flavors to shine through. The rice was equally impressive--perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and delicious enough to enjoy all by itself. In fact, the food was so good that I've already ordered it twice! When I got home, I shared some with my parents. After just one taste, they immediately put away the dinner they had planned to make and asked for the restaurant's address. Before long, I was ordering delivery for them too. That's how good it is. It's not often that I discover a new favorite restaurant, but this place has absolutely earned that distinction. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Afghan cuisine, I highly recommend giving them a try. You may find yourself becoming a regular just like I plan to be! Thank you for such a wonderful meal. I'll definitely be back.

On my first visit to Extreme Hummus I opted to go inside and order vs. ordering via drive thru. I'm…read moreso glad for this as the nice people who work here offered to let me try all their hummus flavors! Every hummus flavor was absolutely delicious making it difficult to pick just 3 for the hummus trio. I went for the babaganoush, white bean & garlic, and the house flavor, Extreme Hummus. I also ordered a gyro wrap and a kabob platter for the hubby. Everything was delicious and the service was great. A week after our first Extreme Hummus visit we went back for seconds, got another hummus trio and some gyro wraps. We are hooked.

I've wanted to try this place for sometime. I decided to do a DoorDash…read more My first order was the Dolmas, grape leaves, with stuffed with rice, olive oil, and seasonings. It came with a tzatziki sauce and a baba ghanoush dip. The grape leaves were tender, and the filling was rich, but not too rich. I did like the baba ghanoush dip, I could taste the eggplant. I also had the beef and lamb Shawarma. Beef, lamb, veggies, tzatziki sauce, and their. Artichoke and pesto hummus. The sandwich was good, but I wasn't a fan of the flatbread. It reminded me basically of a tortilla. It would've been nicer if this could've been on a pita, instead of a flatbread. Also, the artichoke and pesto hummus, there was very little of it in the Shawarma. What little was good, but I could hardly taste it. That tzatziki itself was tangy and good. Not counting the DoorDash fees, I thought that the prices were a bit high. The food was OK. I'm glad I tried it.

Juicy and well seasoned chicken! I ordered the chicken koobideh and my mom got their chicken kabob…read more Great portions too. I had enough for leftovers for my next meal! The pita bread was also so fresh and light with the veggies. The service was great! Workers here greeted us with big smiles and continuously check on us. The decor is also beautiful inside with gorgeous paintings and interior designs. Lots of space and room for big parties too. The price wasn't too bad either -- $25 for two delicious entree plates that usually are more expensive at other persian restaurants. You can't beat that!

Kolbeh Kabob serves Persian and Mediterranean cuisine…read more Language barrier issues with our server affected my ability to order what I wanted, led to an upsell, and prevented me from separating or splitting the bill. Server did offer to let us choose 2 different meats for our two #41 Koobideh plates (2 beef skewers for $25), but I think we would have been better off just ordering one #61 All Koobideh plate (3 different meat skewers for $34). One plate has plenty of basmati rice for two people to share. She suggested the two #41 orders, instead of answering how much an extra order of rice would cost. Maybe you can't order a side of rice? Rice comes with each entree. By ordering the 2nd plate, she offered or included the $8 Bread Basket for no extra charge. It was my friend's birthday. I wanted to pay, and she wanted to order extra to go, so I wanted two separate bills, but it seemed too complicated to explain or disallowed. After the food was delivered to the table, server didn't check on us anymore. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays. My friend thought all the koobideh tasted the same. I liked them in this order: 1) Lamb, 2) Chicken, and 3) Beef, but they're the same texture, so they aren't all that different. I should have ordered a different 2nd entree, instead of two Koobideh plates. The #18 Bademjan Borani eggplant appetizer was yummy. It did come with some bread, so you don't have to order the bread basket. The bread is served warm. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, but not flavorful or buttery. You can pay a $4 upgrade to switch the rice to salad or a fancier stir fried rice. Read the Vegetarian Dishes menu section to learn about the various fried rice or polo preparations. Our server suggested the Fava Bean Rice or Baghali Polo because it is a Persian New Year dish. Yelp reviewers recommended the Zereshk Polo, which includes barberries, a fruit similar to currants. $10 to add a skewer of veggies. $4 to add a salad is mentioned under the Vegetarian Dishes menu and Seafood & Combination Plates menu. I didn't like how the sugar cubes for the Persian Tea were served. It looked communal and exposed to the elements. You could see sugar dust on the serving bowl. Other Persian restaurants serve the sugar in a smaller covered bowl. Formal dining room. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm, excluding holidays. Lunch prices range from $16-$20. 3 different $8 soup offerings: chicken barley, ashe reshteh, or green lentil.
