It's effectively a way to clear some of their sides (two of: mashed potatoes, rice pillaf, soup, salad) but they also provide a fresh order of one piece of fish and chips. Not that it affects my rating, but they said they said they use blue cod for the app special. It's still enjoyable, but definitely a drop in size, texture and taste compared to cod or haddock (let alone halibut). I ordered another piece of haddock, and that combined with the special was more than enough food between my wife and I. But again, a pretty big difference in fish quality, so keep that in mind for any order (doesn't just apply to the app). But a very solid place and nice to see an institution like this still going.

Theyve always had great service and a good variety for ayce -- sashimi, sushi, pressed sushi, torched sushi, specialty rolls, teppanyaki, dim sum. But the new addition of bbq items make it even more fun! They came over to your table with the meats and PINEAPPLE! Their rolls are really big. I had a split of 1/2 Honey Garlic & 1/2 Buffalo Medium. There were multiple sauces available for the record. Their service was decent. Our server was a nice young lady and was very pleasant. The ambiance really needed work. There were 5-6 medium size TV screens that were all destroyed, apparently by a patron. For the record, the bathroom was filthy & really needed cleaning. I'd go again but just not use the washroom!

They had a customer break all their TV's recently and they need to be fixed quickly to bring the appearance back to where it should be. When looking at the menu, there was even a disclaimer about the wait time, as they note on the menu that "good food takes time to make". It's understandable that quality food takes time to prepare, but we felt that overall the service was super slow. Taking our order took a while, and evening bringing out bill took an unnecessary 25 minutes after they cleared our plates. The food was also mediocre at best. Everything tasted bland and it could definitely use some more seasoning (or at least salt).

The ambiance was good but they missed the mark with the "romantic" setting if that's what they were going for. The service was a team style service. Our primary server "Chris" I thought was mediocre & just didn't have the charisma that a good server should have in a restaurant like this. We had to ask multiple times for both bread & pepper. The food was very tasty. I started off with the Calamari ($16.00). It was tasty but not overly so. It came accented with a red pepper style dip that didn't match the seafood taste. In my opinion it should have been a seafood sauce or tartar sauce. My main was the "Fettuccine with a Twist" ($32.00). The "twist" was 3x shrimp, chicken & peppers. It was a small portion & the pasta was very al-dente but I liked it like that. The rose sauce that was with the fettuccine was superb. I had the tiramisu ($10.00) for dessert. It was VERY mediocre & and very small portion as well (see pic). All in all this isn't a do-over for me. Too high priced with an auto tip of 20% which is why the service was what it was. Total bill was $200.00.
