I found myself driving through Kingman, Arizona this week. I remembered years prior visiting a really tasty sandwich spot. I called my Yelp crush up and asked if she could do some Yelp detective work on this place we had once visited. Minutes later she had found it. Bank Street Grinders was that place and I was just about there. Rolled into BSG and saw that a Philly cheese steak sandwich was one of the specials. John took my order and was very friendly. From my visit prior I recalled the homemade brownies being amazing and unfortunately, all the brownies were gone! John saved the day however, he said I think we have some in the kitchen and went and grabbed me one. Sorry no picture of the amazing brownie. I think the sandwich pictures speak for themselves! I worked for a week in Kingman and love sandwiches. I had this for lunch 3/5 of the days I was there. Cold cut trio, warm with hot pepper spread is amazing. Friendly people and the jalapeno roll was great. It got busy everyday around lunch! Highly recommend the pasta salad as well. I'll be back! read more

This place has no ambiance but I don't think people come here for that. The service is okay. The thing that people like is the sandwich's and they're good. Some are real good. Traveling through Kingman we found this hidden gem! We ordered a pastrami sandwich and enjoyed in very much. The rolls were freshly baked at the shop. We also tried freshly baked cookies that were excellent! We pass through Kingman frequently, and will need to make this shop a routine stop! read more

The Chili Report Thursday September 18, 2025 Expectations were high after last week's amazing chili and service. It's a once a week treat that has become a small addiction. I always hype any Frankie experience as some of the best service I've had. The fact that he makes amazing soups, chowders, and chili in a deli in Kingman, Az. is amazing and a surprisingly great addition to their elite line of grinders, sandwiches, and ciabattas. Today's chili was a melting pot of some great ingredients. It was loud without being polarizing. It was just spicy enough to mention, but not so much as to take away from the southern swag and inherent expectation of sweet that any discerning chili palette deserves. We like to go to family owned restaurants based on Yelp recommendations and have many great experiences. Went to Bank St Grinder because of the nearly 5 star reviews. Had the French Dip today and had them add the peppers and onions as an option. Neither the peppers or onions were cooked and really took away from the flavor of the sandwich. After removing the peppers and onions the French Dip was good. All in all it was good but I probably wouldn't drive 2.5 miles off the interstate again. read more

This is my go to place in Kingman. The folks taking orders and making the sandwiches are upbeat and friendly and the entire place is really very welcoming. I typically have either the "Sheila's" or "The Kicker" which is a special item, but I think they make it all the time. You can get most sandwiches cold or toasted, but the bread is so fresh, the meat so tasty, this place is a true gem for Kingman. read more

Found this place on Yelp on our way home from a camping trip in Williams. One of the best beef dips I've ever had. Bread was so fresh, plenty of melt in your mouth roast beef, and I chose provolone cheese. Au just was perfect. My husband had an awesome ham & cheese on rye and loved it. So many choices for sandwiches. Staff were very friendly, service was very quick. The place was big, many people there, and was very clean. We'll be back when we're in Kingman! read more
