The day after the incident, due to pain in the lower part of the index finger, my wife called the Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic to request a consult to determine if there was any damage to tendons or nerves. The Clinic was able to schedule a consult with Dr Michael Robichaux, MD for the next day. My wife and I arrived at the clinic and presented to the check-in desk. The intake person was friendly and attentive. My wofe was presented a registration form which was very succinct and to the point. Upon completing the registration form (5 min). We were ushered back to Dr Robichaux's waiting area. We had to wait only 5 - 6 minutes before we were escorted to a consult room by a medical assistant who removed the dressing and splint on the finger and took down the medical history of the injury. This took about 5 minutes. Dr Robichaux entered the consult room about 3-4 minutes after the MA was done. Dr Robichaux conducted an examination of the injury and conducted some physical testing to determine the extent of the injury. Following this, Dr Robichaux spent 15 minutes explaining what his findings were and what was needed to correct the damage to the finger's tendons and nerves. He even drew some pictures to better explain the options to be followed for the surgery. Dr Robichaux had an excellent 'bedside manner' and his explanations were straightforward and easy to follow. My wife was able to schedule her surgery with Dr. Robichaux for the next afternoon. Dr Robichaux's nurse, Jennifer, next spent about 15 minutes going over the pre-op instructions and re-dressing and splinting the injured finger. Jennifer was professional and fabulously polite. Her treatment of my wife was like she was treating her own mom. The checkout clerk was professional and friendly - complementing my wife on her nails - and took just a few minutes to process her out. With this encounter - the Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic demonstrated outstanding professionalism and a very patient-friendly atmosphere. This organization is very highly recommended for someone who needs orthopaedic services in the Baton Rouge area.

One time he drew around my incision with his ink pen. I ended up having several surgeries, each time he used glue. I eventually ended up with a staff infection. I called back 2 weeks to the day of my initial call, and her explanation was, that she THOUGHT she had returned my call. I was desperately trying to schedule a visit to arrange for an epidural. The nurse was unapologetic and uncooperative. Now I am scrambling to find an orthopedist who can see me as soon as possible, so that I can get some relief. I will be sure to advise my primary care physician not to recommend this office. It is poorly run, and an uncaring group. I have tolerated this situation for years, but no longer. If it were possible to give "0" stars I would.

Dr Harrod performed a back surgery and a neck surgery this past year and I feel absolutely fantastic!!! Finally relief!! These were not my first surgeries on neck and back. I then went to the Neuromedical Center and spoke with Dr. there and I'm not going to list the MD I saw there but he told me he would never inject cement in a fracture that happened way back in 2017. He said he would not due that procedure if the fracture was more than a few months old. Seeing pain specialist at Neuromedical and he put temporary leads in for a spinal stimulator but they kept migrating so that didn't help. I have another appointment with them in a few weeks to discuss other options. They did prescribe me Bambusa which is an opioid but I didn't agree with me so I'm not taking it. It pisses me off that Harrod assumed I was looking for drugs and doubled me pain
