I almost gave it 3 stars. Friendly crew, and that's important sometimes. I have had some good cuts…read moreof meat from here, and the sausages and bacon are superb. I have now stopped using them for a few reasons. 1. I think that they think I am easy touch with the pricing. 2. I prefer local produce, and I bought a ham joint at Christmas, to find that it was from Denmark. When I orderd 10 Chicken Supremes before Christmas, the younger chap started to prepare them for me. I noticed that he was cutting part of the wing off and putting to one side. Not a major problem, but as it looked like they were going to be thrown away, I thought I'd ask for them to use for the Christmas gravy. Before I could the owner, Richard, gave them away to another shopper for free. Next time asked for some of these Chicken Supremes, I metioned for him not to give them away this time, with a joke. Nope he didn't give them away. He weighed them and charged me as part of the whole deal. That's when I thought I'm being taken for a Charlie. So went in search of another butcher.
