Sign says Chinese fine dinning. That is not what this is. Ordered orange beef which comes with steamed rice. The beef was too big for chop sticks so had to use the provided plastic ware which melted during use. The fork tines were too small for the plastic knife to fit. The paper plates were soft and leaked. The rice was dry and hard. I was able to eat the orange beef, the Sauce was good but had to pass on the rice. No service to mention. You have to order at the counter and that's your only interaction. Styrofoam cups and cheap lids. I'd like to be more positive but I didn't enjoy the experience and doubt I'll give this one another chance.

Recently taking over the old Van Thong, BaoBae offers a wide selection of Chinese favorites with fresh veggies and tasty options. It seemed pretty standard fare and they definitely up for the to-go trade. While the inside in certainly a step up from the worn down look Van Thongs sported, the dishes are thin paper plates and to go containers. This is ok, but saucy dishes and soup dumplings were not quite made for these platters. The staff was nice and food is good. Don't skip the egg rolls.

Good food at a good price. We will definitely go back. The place is clean but not fancy. I think that a lot of their business is take out

The second time I visited, I had the Hong Shao Rou with mushrooms (Braised Pork Belly) to-go, not a huge fan of takeout and this didn't disappoint and it was good. The takeout team member was pleasant enough. They feature an open kitchen with two tops closer to the wall/glass and larger tables more toward the middle of the restaurant. From the outside it features the traditional Chinese architecture with western building base. I look forward to yaksying the rest of the menu this year.

But the inconsistency has been an issue for me, and the flavors aren't as good as they once were. Dishes I regularly ordered like Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Japanese Egg Tofu, and Honey Walnut Shrimp haven't stood out as much as of lately. Dishes like Szechuan Spicy Chicken is still one of my favorite, and Garlic Snow Pea Leaves are delicious when in season. Bamboo House still holds its place as great spot for group dining. The portion is generous, prices are fair, and overall a solid restaurant that's still worth recommending.

The woman who took the order over the phone and at the pick up counter wasn't very personable. Seemed as if she was rushing around although the restaurant wasn't at all busy inside. Perhaps just having a bad night? We ordered Chicken Lo Mein, General Tao's, Honey Walnut Chicken, crab puffs, and spring rolls -- portions for dishes were fairly standard, all of which were just ok regarding flavor and texture. General Tso's lacked spice and the texture of the chicken was gristly. Lo Mein was average tasting. Honey Walnut Chicken actually had more spice than the General Tso's... but regardless, was pretty bland. The crab puffs had hardly any cream cheese filling, and the ends of the fried pieces were hard and chewy which was disappointing. How can you screw up a crab puff? The best thing we ate were the spring rolls which were light and crispy paired with the sweet and sour sauce. We wanted to like this place, however, there are far superior Chinese restaurants in the area. I doubt we will try again.

The house fried rice came packed in the container and was still warm when I got home. It was evenly seasoned and tasted fresh. The vegetables weren't over cooked and the meats were delicious. It was very easy to order and the cashier was so nice. The restaurant was clean and nice inside. I can't wait to try another dish from here.
