I would NOT recommend going there. The NP DREW BURKETT is awful. He's a smart ass with patients…read more The prior dr I was using had me on Metformin which was working perfectly..I had no issues with it and it was free at Publix..not even copay. When I started going here, Burkett decides to switch me, for NO given or apparent reason, to Synjardy. So I go from zero cost to $75 for the prescription. I got my BC/BS statement and now I see why. That crap cost over $900 as compared to peanuts they get for Metformin. Told him I wanted to go back on Metformin coz I can't afford the Synjardy. He gets snippy. Then he asked about the PREVENTATIVE colonoscopy he scheduled for me. I had told him when he scheduled it that the last time I was scheduled for ONE, BC/BS would NOT pay the anesthesiologist bill and I can't afford that. He said "they will work it out and maybe do a local anesthesia". Well I went thru that whole process, the $35 cleanse kit, not eating, and I get to the hospital and they tell me they DO have to use anesthesiologist and DON'T do any other type of anesthesia covered by BC/BS and I'll have to pay out of pocket. I walked out. I cannot afford to line all these doctors pockets for unnecessary tests and if they want it for preventative, then insurance needs to pay for it. So i tell Mr. Nurse Practitioner Burkett this and he flips out. "I just can't treat you! You won't do anything I say so I'm just gonna refer you to somebody else!" Screw you Mr. Burkett. You have zero bedside manner. You don't talk to a grown man like I'm your child. And I am convinced you only switched me off Metformin that worked JUST FINE -- all blood work was fine. SO. My advice. STAY AWAY from this place. And certainly don't deal with this Drew Burkett smart ass.

This is actually for the Parliament location on, so if you ask, I will remove it from your reviews…read more Just came back from there after 2 hours of waiting with not even an acknowledgement. Facility has no coffee cups, no toilet papers in toilet, and staff are laughing in the back but have no genuine care for the patients. They are behind a closed door, and it never opened up except for when a patient came out from being seen. There was an elderly couple who was also waiting, and a lady in for a job screening, and were all just forced to wait with no telling on how long the wait would be. Yes, it was on a Sunday, and yes, I understand that they also see kids at the practice, but... When I had arrived, there were 3 kids and 0 adults in the waiting area. 2 hours without anyone coming out to say 'oh there are 7 people in front of you' or even acknowledging that we are there. Their automated check in system tells you 'You may experience a few minutes of wait' but... not an hours. When a lady had an inquiry a rep opened the door, and I used that chance to ask 'how many people were ahead of me' and told that that I was planning on leaving if it was going to be too long. She got my name and went back, and must have forgot about the task, because I didn't hear back for another 8 minutes, which is when I decided to leave. They have the pre-register and automated check-in process, but it obviously does not operate based on actual availability/wait times as you're being forced to wait another hour afterwards. With all this being said... please at least check the bathrooms and refreshment area to make sure they are clean and that customers have access to the basic necessities. Thank you.

My wife and I brought our young son to this pediatric urgent care because he had been running a…read morefever over 100°F for more than a day, along with coughing, sneezing, and significant congestion. Given his history of ear infections, we were concerned he might have another one. After waiting over an hour to be seen (which we understand can happen when they're busy), we spoke with the nurse about his symptoms. The nurse practitioner then entered the room and immediately asked us to explain why we were there. Before we could even finish describing his symptoms, she cut us off and dismissed our concerns, stating that he was "just teething" and that a fever of 100.9°F "isn't a real fever." When we insisted that his symptoms were more serious than teething, she doubled down, claiming he didn't have a runny nose, cough, sneezing, or a serious fever. It took persistent advocacy on our part for her to finally agree to examine his ears. Sure enough, he had a severe ear infection. Had we accepted her initial assessment, we would have left without proper treatment after wasting over two hours of our time. While we understand that children can have overlapping symptoms, the dismissive attitude and complete disregard for our concerns as parents felt incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. Parents know their children best, and being brushed off like that when seeking care for a sick child is unacceptable. I would not recommend this urgent care to anyone with a young child.
