A friend and I met up to get the tail end of 333's happy hour. There are four beers on happy hour at the awesome price of $3.33. I went for the latest Back East black IPA. Nick was an awesome, enthusiastic server. He helped us pick the food to get (no happy hour food deals, though). My friend and I were split on our favorite items on the menu. I loved the buffalo chicken meatballs, and she loved the general tso's flavor. I liked the orange bbq wings, and she liked the garlic parm wings. Cliquish place with unfriendly regulars and food that used to be much better. Avoid the Wednesday night Open Mike night at all cost. Some of the performers treat the place like they own it, despite only being there once a week. Owner backs them as if they couldn't possibly do any wrong. Lots of drama in the place. Cheap happy hour prices that more than double the minute happy hour ends. They advertise free food during happy hour, but I've never seen it. The place is hard to find. I really cannot say enough amazing things about this place. This is quickly becoming a family favorite. My daughter (9) loves the wings and burgers. The last two times I have been there, we left after just one drink because of the depressing country music playing. The bartenders are great and the staff is friendly. The ambiance (sans music) is inviting. You might find live music or you might see a retirement or 40th bday party. So my wife and I had dinner last night and we were not disappointed I had the privilege of being the first person having there first dinner special and it was awesome it was linguine with White clam sauce. Clams were not gritty and very fresh the linguine was cooked perfectly and sauce had great depth of flavor. We came in on a Saturday afternoon (3'ish) and there were several groups of people mingling here. We were going to eat at the bar but the bar was completely full. Our server was cool though so I'm glad we sat down. We started the meal with a bottle of wine for $20. You heard that right...only 20 bucks. And it was tasty. My wife and I split three small plates to start: the buffalo chicken meatballs, the pretzel bites, and the fried pickles. All were good but the pretzel bites were the clear standout to me. I got buffalo chicken sliders (with fries) for my entree and my wife got a chicken Caesar salad. We came out a little too strong with 3 apps so I ran out of room but we got the rest to go and it was great the next day. We frequent this place because the food is always good and service is excellent. While the menu is limited, there is a good variety. The tacos in particular are delicious. You can't mix and match proteins but you can get multiple sauces which we always do. The fried pickles are another favorite. We went back twice for the twin lobster dinner...only $21.00. Apparently, they have a $3.33 special for all beers on draft on Mondays. This is a great deal because they have some great beers on tap. We started off with the pretzel bites. I don't even really care that much for pretzels, but I would totally order these again. The pretzel bites themselves were perfectly executed. Served piping hot and just the right crispness. These also came with two dipping sauces, homemade Dijon mustard and beer cheese. The mustard was solid. The cheese...you could put that cheese on day old fast food and I would happily eat it. it was that good. For $5, you can't go wrong with the pretzel bites. For my main meal I got the Rena's pick served with fries. Basically, a lamb burger served in a pita gyro style. The fries are top notch. The Rena's pick was delicious. The pita was warm and flavorful and the lamb burger was very moist. I had to ask for some more tzatziki sauce to add to it, but that's just my personal preference and they were happy to oblige. We came here for lunch after spending the day at the beach and were VERY happy with this place. The waitress was very attentive, great atmosphere and the service was quick. I built my own burger and it was one of the BEST burgers I've had in awhile. The beef was deliciously cooked and I loved all the topping options! It was so huge I could barely take a bite into it and the onion strings were so good!! The handcut thin fries were perfectly seasoned. My fiancé ordered wings and he was also very happy with the flavors. He ordered the bbq and a mango habanero. Be warned though: the mango habanero is extremely spicy. I tried a chicken caprese sandwich on rye toast which came with fries. I split the meal with my friend. The sandwich and fries were plenty for us. The sandwich had a nice flavor with a basil mayo that made it delicious. I had a New England Sea Hag American IPA from Woodbridge, CT to go along with the food. The brew had a high alcohol content so I got a buzz and a bit silly. The staff was very friendly and explained the choice of brews available. One may order a flight to try a few options. My wife and I love this place; the atmosphere is very much a bar; but don't let that scare you off. The food is very good (Normally, more on that later). They have a great rotating tap list; and while it is (like most other bars) very IPA heavy, they also typically have some great Stouts and Lagers on the menu. From when my wife and I started going, the staff has gone through several swings. It used to not be uncommon to have the bartender waiting tables; though lately we have had a waiter AND a host. Progress! We have never seen the same specials twice (Unfortunately, they did Eggrolls one time that sounded amazing but were sold out) So, the flip side of the coin. We love the food, and love the restaurant. But for a while it became VERY hit or miss. Little issues with the food (Cheese steaks missing cheese!); sitting too long or service just lagging (Too few people running the floor?)
