I have had the wonderful fortune of being able to visit Paris twice in the last few years and for a…read morecity that didn't even make it to my top 20 places to visit in my lifetime, it is an incredible metropolis that you should really consider passing through, at least for a week. The culture and history are amazing (which are givens) but what will totally knock you off your feet is the food. People will tell you that but it will still shock you when you put a pastry or a bite of a galette (of the sort from the Brittany region) in your mouth. Okay, all of that is to say that while there are great things to experience in Paris, you will find that service is not exactly what one would call friendly or hospitable. I get it, I'm an American and Yanks are entitled and pompous. I totally understand that and I know that no matter how much I jump up and down, shouting to you that I'm not that way (especially since I'm the child of immigrant parents of an extremely humble background), you will remain skeptical. That's okay. I have come to understand that Parisians are not what we here in the States would consider exactly "warm." But I accept the cultural difference and am more than happy when I can have a cordial exchange with business owners/managers and their employees. I don't speak French, but I learned the obligatory "Parlez-vous anglais?" in deference to the country's official language. I heard the cashier speak English to the customer in front of me but when it was my turn, both she and the manager on shift looked at me blankly so I politely (and timidly) asked my question. The man acted indifferently and said flatly, "A little." So I ordered my cappuccino, feeling embarrassed. I paid and left. I understand that Parisians are tired of Americans and their expectation that everyone speaks English (I have witnessed this and know it to be generally true) but when your customer tries to communicate with you and your place of business is in an international airport (8th busiest in the world in passenger traffic, at that), you would think you could be a bit more understanding. I won't change the world or this place with my review, but there you have my two cents. Oh, and the cappuccino was quite good.

I asked the staff if they could add a bit more soup or sauce, and they kindly did, which improved the dish. The menu mentions cashews, and the idea of combining everything together sounds great in theory. However, there were only about 3-5 cashews in the dish, which didn't really balance the pasta as expected. I would recommend using fewer pasta portions and adding more cashews and sauce to improve the flavor and texture. Overall, the service was good and the staff were accommodating. The menu itself has good ideas, but I think the restaurant could focus more on quality and balance rather than quantity. Considering the price point, I personally wouldn't recommend it right now, though I believe they have the potential to do better.

Last place to enjoy a super luxe bite before hopping on a plane. The packaging is exquisite…read more Sandwiches are packaged in fancy, thick clear zip bags that you can probably reuse as your quart-sized travel bag for liquids. Salads are packaged in these clear, thick plastic boxes that make them look like gemstones. The food is a bit pricey, but it is worth it compared to the other food options around (the other food looked like it would give you a case of no. 3!!!). Everything is luxurious down to their super heavyweight napkins and plastic cutlery that looks like it's real metal. Sometimes it's worth to splurge for a memorable and enjoyable last meal. :)

Delicious sandwiches with prices that were not bad at all! €6 for a baguette with ham, cheese, and…read morebutter. Very simple and very good. Great for quick meals and snacks. We were at the airport for quite awhile and after having the first sandwich for brunch, we went back and got the classic meal with the above mentioned sandwich, a slice of chocolate dessert cake, and a drink (or a cup of Heineken if you prefer) for €11.20. I was thirsty and the cup of Heineken would have lasted me two big gulps so I got a bottled beverage. Nicolas at the counter was kind and helpful. Credit card accepted.

When I finally hit the counter, one girl bebind me just went over me & talked to the staff what she want, then the old woman behind me started to talk to another staff, no one served me at all. When I talked to the two staffs they told me to wait in line (of course I've been in line all the time). Then the old woman use her arrogant eyes and French told me this as well & said she was the one, not me. In front of all the other customers!!! I wouldn't say any dirty words coz she is not the one who deserves my words or actions, but I'm really sick of the French's arrogance! I've been bored them for many years when I started to work in a French famous investment banking. I'm writing this review coz they couldn't do the right order even let customer got humiliated. This time, I came to Paris only for studying, otherwise I really wouldn't come to this stupid country anymore. I'm not saying emotionally.
