This is the best BBQ in magnolia! The woodlands too! We drive 18miles to come to this place. They are busy these days. But the new building is nice and big. You aren't going to get run over by the train. The food is, as alway, great! We all get the meat stuff potato. I add a little extra cheese and some Jalapeño and I can bearly see the potato. They are so big! In the summer the cobblers are awesome! I also know that the chop beef and the links are excellent. It comes down to the BBQ sauce. It is creamy, rich and super tasty. Food is good. When they get busy they can't seem to be able to get the order right so always check it. Coustomer service is not the best. They got the order wrong and since this is the country iy takes me 15 min to get rhere so it was over 30 min to get home find out the order was wrong and get back so i took the side back they gave me the same sides back now another 15 min back and now 45 min and cold sides. It is not that you made a mistake everyone does it is how you recover from it that counts. Should have given fresh sides at leasr and maybe extra rib or slice of pie for messing up. Terrible. Ordered two pounds of brisket. It was tough, dry and tasteless. This is fourth time there in a few months, will never go back. Not sure what happened because a few years ago it was terrific. So sad. read more

Excellent little barbecue restaurant that we've been eating at for years. The barbecue is invariably good oh, what are you get the chopped beef, or the sliced. We bought enough for a small family birthday party today and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the barbecue from barbecue Hut. I wanted so much to love this place as we often enjoy supporting local small businesses. You would think the "hut" would be happy to serve their customers. We received a lukewarm greeting and unfortunately that temperature carried over to the potato salad. We weren't sure if they accidentally nuked it or if it was sitting out in the 80 degree weather. We didn't take any chances and tossed it. I was craving ribs and couldn't wait to dig in. Unfortunately, these were way too salty for my taste. The macaroni and cheese and green beans were good. We were ready for dessert and looked for the peach cobbler we ordered (and paid for) but unfortunately it was not in the bag. I immediately recalled the sign they have outside the window that alerts customer to check their order before they drive off because they will not take responsibility for missing items. Ugh!! Came here on a Monday afternoon. The place was interesting and the location was out there. The Mac and cheese had a ton of black pepper through it which I could've done without. The chicken was a little dry but overall pretty good as was the bbq sauce. Too many onions in the green beans. The portions were a good size for the price. Ordered a pound of brisket and a side of potato salad. The brisket was the worst I've ever had in my life. It was so dry that it actually had spots of discoloration on it. It also had zero flavor, no fat, barely a smoke ring around the outside and no charring. I had to throw it away. If I was an employee there I would refuse to serve that to customers. The potato salad was runny and so sweet it was almost inedible. Unfortunately, after a few bites I found an eyelash in it. An all around awful experience. We were just passing through looking for something simple other than fast food. I had the Hut Plate which includes 1 meat and 2 sides for $9.19. I chose sliced beef, macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw. The beef was ok, but pretty dry. The sauce poured over it was quite sweet. The macaroni was below average and not very cheesy. Coleslaw was was finely chopped and pretty good. Overall it was better than a fast food option, but nothing special. Nowhere near as good as somewhere like Rudy's. read more

I finally tried this little place out today with to go order of brisket, ribs, and chicken. All was really tasty, the rub on the ribs was so delish i cld have licked it off!
