Today, there are less but with a few restaurants inside. I checked out one menu, which looked great. When I was here in late October, the interior was being set up for some dinner event. I love any market in Europe, especially Italy with the beautiful displays of different cheeses and cured meats. For me, Pistachio is the flavor by which I evaluate the quality of gelato. So for me, this place just rose to the top of my list. A little after 6 o'clock in the evening and we had just finished walking the Boboli Gardens and wanted to rest and have a cold drink before dinner. The two people running the place were fantastic. They spoke great English and shared many interesting things about the area. The guy was very funny. It was a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. That made us feel welcome.
