Must be the popular place. There are tons of people crowding the front to take photos, and this place filled up quickly. Although I'm not a beer nut, I had to try something. This was recommended by a new friend from Curitiba and he says I should stop by here. Well, the atmosphere is up beat and comfortable. The beer I chose wasn't bad, but the fries were excellent. Hahaha... again I'm not the beer connoisseur. I'm sure for those who are can find something they like here. Plus I'm sure it would help to be able to speak the language. I'm at a bit of a disadvantage, but the waiter was great in helping me. Enjoy read more

Great little spot in central Curitiba. It's a German themed bar, decorated very authentically. You get nice beer steins of Brazilian beer, and there is a very meat heavy tasty menu. Beers with a shot of liquor in them come with a little shot glass you can keep. Great experience, a fun place to hang out for the evening. A little touristy I'm told but overall a funky little spot. read more

Bar do Alemão is one of those places that takes you back to somewhere else.And this time its to German Beer Haus. They have lots of beers, but you wanna try the Submarino which is a Beer with a shot of steinhager. it comes with a cup of steinhager inside your beer and it tastes wonderful. Also, these shot cups are yours to keep and they change constantly, depending on what is happening in Brazil. Lots of german foods, all of them are great. They have big tables so bring everyone with you, but if you are alone, expect to make some friends in here. Worth a visit if you want a warm place with great beer and are looking to eat some german food. read more

Very authentic food and typical German atmosphere, which I mean as a compliment. Good individual and shareable portions, so you can go with a small group or a large one. Plenty of seating and in a great location in the historic center. Go for a walk after to work off some of the heavy meal. read more

The music isn't loud at all, so you can easily chat. It's a German themed bar, decorated very authentically. The service is very authentic and everyone is polite, making you feel like you are really in a German bar. the place is good. The atmosphere is pleasant, the music is a little loud inside near the counter, but it's possible to drink and chat calmly. The service is quick, agile and the drinks are always cold and the snacks are wonderful. read more
