It is a very small shop with some seating inside and out. It is quiet with very light classical music playing in the background. They offer some pastries and of course drinks. We had cappuccino and they were good, but not amazing. The barista did a decent job but the flavor was just a bit off. Unlike most cappuccino I have had in Italy so far, the beans were a little burnt and reminded me a little of Starbucks coffee. A lot like it that way but not what I was expecting. One side note, which isn't entering into my rating, is that while we were having our coffee, we were playing a quiet game of backgammon which we often do (bringing a travel set with me). This was a Sunday morning and it wasn't busy. The manager came over to us and told us that there were no games allowed! Now, I have had coffee at a ton of different places (see my many reviews) all over the world, and this has never happened before. We were not making noise and we were not taking up any additional space, so we have no idea what the problem was. There was another person who was reading a big book, but that seemed to be ok. I have no idea what the deal was, but it certainly wasn't nice and friendly. Overall, this was an ok cappuccino but I'm hoping to find better (and more hospitable) places in Bologna.

The Tortellini-like pasta had a mix of cheese and mortadella (which Bologna invented and in the USA is called baloney) inside. Yum The lasagna was also tasty with a light amount of meat sauce (ragu). We sat under a portico outside the restaurant. Inside is actually quite big and nice looking. A great place if it's too cold out. Service was quick and they charge you right away (rather than going in to pay at the end). All of the staff were friendly. We tried the Hugo Spritz, Tommy's Margarita, and split a bottle of red wine. Everything was great and their menu was very extensive. Overall, it's a cool spot with good cocktails and a nice view. Just know that it's slightly pricier than some of the nearby options. I'd recommend it if you're passing by, but I wouldn't necessarily seek it out.

Pani the guy running the bar is an excellent Batman and host presiding over a large Communal bar table. I came here twice in the same week. The Amaro high ball I could drink all the time. I'd kill for something like this near my house
