The first evening was great. We were seated promptly, our orders were taken fairly quickly and our dishes arrived soon afterwards. On our second evening, we kind of had the opposite experience. We had made reservations for 7pm, but when we arrived, we were made to wait outside in line... in the rain. 13min later, we were let in. When we made reservations earlier that day, we had asked for seats at the bar. Instead, we were seated at a small table next to the bar, as the bar was full. I had ordered a beer and when the waitress came back for our food orders, she bumped into the table and spilled some of my drink. No apologies given. Just an awkward "oops!" on her part. Overall, it seemed like the staff seemed overwhelmed that evening and service suffered as a result. All of that said, the place has a lot of potential and I'm more than willing to give them another try.

The waitress' here all have fabulous hair and looked like they all just went to the hair salon that morning. The service was quick, I believe we arrived after the breakfast rush but before lunch because there were a lot of staff on hand. I had a breakfast sandwich made with French toast that was super yummy and an amazing idea I had never seen before. My boyfriend had a smoked meat lasagna that was literally bubbling on the outside but was still cold on the inside. It would have been nice to be able to sit outside on their terrace but it was still a bit chilly out in the middle of June. There was tons of seating inside and the menu had so many options, this is definitely a good spot to stop if you are driving through.

It is a small microbrewery, with quite a few choices for beer and they do offer wine, which was great. Mr. Bee did flight of beers, Vice Roi, which was a pilsner, Riviere R. Nord, Session Lorestiere an really nice IPA, Quadrupel Barrique, which he loved and lastly the nice woman at the bar offered him a taste of Sexybus, which was pink in color, and somewhat fruity. Of course with our drinks we ordered Poutine. It was delicious and so different from the Poutine's we had in Montreal and would have on this trip. Instead of gravy the crispy and creamy fries are topped with a sweet BBQ sauce and cheese curds. We loved it. The sauce was tangy and sweet and paired with the fries perfectly. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Everyone in the tasting room mainly speaks French and with our extremely limited French and their little bit of English we managed just fine and had so much fun with everyone. This was one of the highlights of our day in Gaspe.
