There was a narrow balcony, not possible to sit on but you can stand on it and enjoy the view to La Pedrera (Gaudi). Air condition in both beedrooms and in the living room. The only complaint we had was the noicy construction site just outside the apartment. Because of that, and heavy traffic, you don't want to keep the balcony doors open. The hostess was nice and all the details about the booking worked out perfect. Very good location of the apartment! Not far from the station Passeig Gracia. You can easily go by train from El Prat airport.

BARCELONA 2016 What…read morea wonderful trip we had in Barcelona! We stayed at this timeshare resort. It was located close to the train and a modern mall that would rival any American mall. During our stay there was no need for a car rental. Public transportation was ample and inexpensive. Our only difficulty was that we had an issue with transportation from the airport. Don't respond to anyone who comes up to you for a ride at the airport. We were charged something like $40 unnecessary. Look up which bus would take you to this address and go that way for $4. I'm sorry, but I don"t remember the exact details. The resort is not that far from the airport and bus transportation is easy. We returned to the airport via bus. The unit was small by American standards, but typical for Eiropeon standards. There was a full kitchen and a great grocery store at the mall which was walking distance. We saved a lot of money eating breakfast and packing lunches. Dinner we usually ate out so that we could appreciate and try the local cuisine. We did a lot of walking and used public transportation the whole time except once when we used Uber. This too worked fine. Enjoy Barcelons! Some trip highlights include the Segrada de la Famille, a day trip to Montserrat, the old St. Pau Hospital , Gaudi's Parks and houses and countless other sights (see my reviews of these places). There was ample security at the resort, but unfortunately my husband was pickpocketed when we went to the beach area. Heed the warnings about pickpockets! They are masters in Barcelona. I would not carry any purse and keep money and a credit care inside my socks or continually hold my credit card in my pocket. Heed my warnings and enjoy Barcelona!

A visit to Barcelona was called for so onto Hotels.com to find accommodation for three of us. An…read moreoffer came up for Apartment Marina so checking it out online it seemed a good bet. But would it be. In fact it was a better deal than we had expected. Four minutes walk to Sagrada Familia and numerous good, reasonably priced, restaurants and bars. Transport also within five minutes. Secure entrance past a reception which was always manned by very helpful guys. On out first night the poor guy was in panic for me when we didn't have a corkscrew in the kitchen. He was great and found me one within minutes. I think he realised that you couldn't visit Spain without wine. Lift up to the apartment, in our case the third floor. Nice large lounge with TV (never used by us) with plenty of seating and telephone. Two bedrooms for four people, one with safe. Both with plenty of storage space. Bathroom with everything you could need. Girls said that the hair dryer worked better than any they had used in other establishment. Toiletries. Shower in the bath. Fully fitted kitchen with all appliances, including dishwasher. OK, missing a corkscrew but that was amended immediately. Balcony. If you are lucky at the front, with a view of the Sagrada Familia, but with the road noise (not too bad at night). A great apartment complex for a reasonable price.

The hotel emailed the following morning stating the room type I booked was not available (even though I was able to book online) In fact the property was sold out so I couldn't stay. So I canceled my entire stay here. Now the hotel claims because the hotel wasn't canceled within 5 days of arrival, I would need to pay the penalty fee for the rooms. However, I continued to explain to the hotel the cancellation of my stay was not on me, it was on the hotel. Therefore, they shouldn't charge any late fees. But the representative via email continued to argue and say it wasn't canceled within 5 days of arrival. It makes no sense. I booked the reservation 3 days prior to arrival and it wasn't voluntarily canceled. Beware of this property and poor manager. They will do anything to keep your money.

It seem to go down at night and back up again i the morning. Let's do the pro. 1. Location is good and next to Rocafort metro station. It is only 20 mins to airport by taxi. 2. The staff are not there 24 hours and office is closed after 6 pm but there is number to call for emergency. 4. We used the washer and dryer every day since like bring few cloth for travel and like our attire clean. They provide detergent and cleaning supplies for kitchen too. Free coffee and tea bags. 5. Room are big and spacious and feels like an apartment instead of hotel. Bed is very comfortable for my standard. The not good stuff 1. Internet is not reliable and always down at night. It is however fast if it is working. 2. We stayed for 7 nights and they clean only once so we have so much trash and not sure where to dump them. They should be more options to clean up and change towel. 3. The elevator is small and slow. So walk up stairs if you don't have any luggage. 4. I wish it was queen bed and not double which is small for 2 but most hotel are the same here. Overall , I would recommend and hope they fix the internet. That is everyone priority now especially when you need to buy ticket online and check in for airlines. It is overall 4.9 stars for me.
