It's one of the UK's largest dance studios and is currently expanding to Blackpool and Liverpool. It also holds classes in Blackburn and Bolton. Classes include ballet, street dance, hip hop, jazz, salsa, lindy hop, pole dance, breakdance, contemporary, acting, reggaeton, tap, street salsa(?!), modern, locking, popping, ballroom, latin, singing, flamenco, martial arts, belly dance, vogueing & whacking. It's really affordable too and the staff are really really helpful, they run classes from beginner to advanced level so there's no need to be afraid of being the worst there because new people start all the time! They have a wide range of classes so you can pick and choose and their membership fee is definitely pocket friendly. Tip: Definitely attend one of their street dance classes, supposed to be the best in Manchester!

It has a large theatre for shows, as well as function rooms for shows and exhibitions such as recent multicultural events. The Barrow Tourist Information Centre is attached to the Forum, so definitely worth a visit if you're new to Barrow. It also has a large cafe/restaurant downstairs catering for everyone from children to the elderly, and public toilets which are usually clean and tidy. It's right opposite the Town Hall, so you can't miss it. It also has a car park on its roof, which is really handy if you're shopping in town (if a little expensive at 90p an hour!)

At Christmas the Forum 28 is home to the town's annual pantomime. The theatre isn't huge, I've never counted the seats but I cant imagine there are more than 500 seats in the main theatre. The Forum occasionally attracts once famous entertainers such as Paul Daniels, Derek Acorah and Billy Ocean, but for the most part the acts are unknowns or famous in their own limited area of expertise. The Forum is also a venue used by local amateur dramatic societies and dance troops to perform in public. The Forum also has conference rooms that can be hired for private functions such and weddings or business purposes. There is a small cafe in the Forum offering drinks and snacks, and small lunches.

My daughter has danced with them since the age of 6 and is now a dance teacher and my grandchildren have all attended boogie babies, with their nannie of course! My granddaughter now attends learning ballet and mini mix on Saturdays. Worth every penny for the confidence and skill set this school gives the children and adults alike.
