At the end, she asked me if I wanted to look in the mirror and I said "no that I can't make my hair grow back" . I've gotten home and it's too short, exactly what I was trying to prevent by giving her the instructions in the first place. Awful. And she cut it the way she wanted to cut, not the way I wanted it cut. I won't go back again.

My son was WAY overdue for a haircut but he was crying and clearly did not want to be there. I was honestly worried we'd have to leave without getting it done. Instead of forcing him into a chair, Denise noticed he felt most comfortable in the waiting area and simply adapted to him. Denise cut his hair right where he felt safe while Tabby offered toys and lollipops, talked him through the whole process, both were incredibly patient and kind. They even made a point to include my older son in conversation while we did the whole haircut. The cut turned out amazing and by the time we left my son was all smiles with a juice in hand. I…read morearrived at 11:05 as the woman barber (Margie, I assume based on other reviews) was finishing up with the only customer in the shop. I was told that her lunch hour started at 11:30 so she didn't have time to take me (in the 25 minutes remaining). My hair is very simple to cut (classic business cut) and usually takes about 10 minutes. I left and will not be going back. So, essentially, the posted 11:30 to 12:30 lunch hour is actually at LEAST 11:00 to 12:30. I'm sympathetic to the need for a decent lunch hour, but there was really no excuse for this. Fortunately, there are other very good barbers on Hilton Head and they will be getting my business going forward.
