The stylists are quite good, some young and old, different sorts of prices, so worth popping in a finding out what you want. Shop had a refurb a few years ago, which spruced the place up nicely.

I had an early appointment so was the first client of the stylists day, she arrived 10 minutes after myself, i was immediately taken to the washbasin for a shampoo, it was there that i had my 'consultation' i was not pleased by this as the stylist did not ask many questions as to what i would like done, or even looked at the hairstyle i wanted to see if it would suit me. i had a cold hairwash and taken to the mirror she was working at. She then asked me a few more questions and asked to see the photos i took in of the hair style i wanted. Once she finished the back she then asked how long i wanted the front, i showed her by holding the hair to the length i wanted, she proceded to cut- shorter than i had asked for. The one side was longer than the other and as she started to cut the longer side shorter to match i said i didnt mind the difference in length, as the other side was too short for my liking. i repeatedly asked her to thin out the hair and make it choppy which she did not. Overall i was happy with the hair cut although there was thing i would have liked different. I would have liked to have been asked about the style i wanted in a consultation before i had a shampoo rather than being asked through out. I would go back for another haircut there but would probally have a different stylist. The price of my haircut was very reasonable and i was very happy with the service from the reception.

I went here a few times years ago and got a half decent haircut, then one day as I wandered along the street after being rejected by the edge I saw this woman in flip flops sitting on a little chair outside smoking a fag. I needed a trim so wandered in, as I did she slowly headed my way and smelling like an ashtray she proceeded to cut my hair, I thought what the hell appearances can be deceiving. She made a right hack job of my hair, it took her 3 attempts to even get it half decent. After she had finished her lesson in butchery by Stevie Wonder (sorry Stevie) I asked how long had she been doing hair, at this point she looked at her watch! This woman has no real haircutting experience, so unless you want to look like Edmund Blackadder in series 1. Avoid here if the flip flop fag lady is outside.

Appointments can often be got on the day and if you are very lucky you can park outside the shop for free! If not, 25 is not far from the centre of the town centre where you can park for around £1 for 2 hours. Prices are neither expensive nor cheap and are related to the seniority of the stylist that you have. The music that is played is not the standard Radio 1, but from a selection of the stylists own collections.

Genty's (bullock fair close) give a basic haircut at a reasonable price but the cut is rushed to ease queueing. There is also a small lack of hygiene when not washing equipment after each customer... if you want a quick drop in its efficient but the quality is just not there.

My daughter was happy with the style they did, how ever there were a few wispy bits here and there which is why I've given them a 4star and not 5 stars. My daughter said she would be happy to go back and that the wispy bits was a very minor issue.
