The atmosphere at the Rathaus is warm and typically Swiss, and its views of the Luzern waterfront and Kapellbrücke can't be beat. The food is excellent, from lighter fare like sandwiches on pretzels to more traditional dishes like white sausage with mustard. My brother-in-law ordered two different beers, and said they were the best he's ever had in his life. The most lasting memory for us, however, was our absolutely amazing server on our second visit. She was warm, friendly, funny, and spoke excellent English, giving us tips and recommendations for our Luzern stay. We even shared hugs on our final visit.
