I rarely leave reviews, ever - and only a positive reviews. In this case, my experience with…read moreThriveworks has been so absolutely horrendously awful, I cannot help but leave a review so others know to run in the opposite direction and not give this company a second of their precious time. Oh my goodness, the billing department needs to be investigated by the FBI in my opinion! Absolutely insane! Still waiting after 3 months and multiple phone calls and emails to the billing department with no calls back for my insurance claim. Detestable. I am ready for a lawsuit! The insurance claim is for over $2000! Plus there were random charges here and there when I was an active customer which needed to be refunded as well. I learned my lesson, don't waste your money on therapy. Eat right, make friends, get outside and get the hell offline.

Okay another update to the saga of Thriveworks being an absolutely awful service. I thought I had…read morefinally gotten Thriveworks to leave me alone after I got them to acknowledge that I paid my bill. But of course there was an egregious HIPAA violation on the counselor Kim's part. In June, she decided to send out an email to my personal email address saying we hadn't had a follow up visit in a while and asking if I'd like to schedule something. I guess it never got back to her how I perceived her care as absolute garbage. How would she though since there is no avenue at Thriveworks to actually make a complaint. The bonkers part is that she also sent that email to 15 other personal emails of other patients and failed to blind copy anybody, so I have the full names, personal emails, and some pictures if it was a gmail address of other persons who received counseling services from her. I continue to STRONGLY encourage anyone who values privacy, adequate care or billing practices, or basic common sense to stay away.

First off let me start by saying that I had to really think about whether I was going to review my…read moretherapist. Who really wants to admit that they need someone to talk to about some issue or concern; or for my situation a lot of issues and a lot of concerns. Everyone is a little broken...it's how you glue everything back together that makes you who you are today. Sometimes you need to fix the fix to really heal or cope. Dr. Ryan came recommended to by another therapist of a close friend of mine. I called and made an appointment and have been seeing Dr. Ryan off and on for almost 3 years. Never having been to a therapist I didn't know what to expect. I mean I watched the Sopranos, and every other stereotypical show about "shrinks" so I already had some preconceived notions about therapy. All were shattered by Dr. Ryan. He's a very calm, soft spoken personable individual. He doesn't push you to come out of your shell, but at the same time he holds you accountable for what you are there for. He's easy to talk to and very insightful. I even had homework which aided me in developing certain skills. I can honestly say that the relationship I have with Brit (some of you have met my ever present +1) is stronger and more fulfilling because of the sessions I've had with Doc. He's helped me become a better communicator and has aided me in understanding what are rational and irrational feelings and more so how to convey that to someone when I didn't start out with the appropriate vocabulary to express my feelings or thoughts.
