Upstairs is a delightful restaurant that's a favorite with locals. The service here is impeccable and the food was fabulous. We started with a grilled vegetable plate -- vegetables are hard to find in Spain in October! We also enjoyed the classic Spanish meal of grilled steak and potatoes. Our waitress recommended a very nice rioja, the wine of the region. That was superb too! We're not normally dessert eaters, but we wanted to extend this lovely experience so we ordered the waitress' suggestion of a chocolate dessert with cafe con leche.

The flavor combo together is unreal. This dish sings! Whenever we're in Zaragoza we make sure to come to this restaurant and I must order this dish. I wouldn't be lying if I told you we purposely stopped in Zaragoza on a road trip just for this dish! On a one night start t we actually came for dinner and again for lunch before we had to go. But the ambiance and decor are all so lovely. This last time what the first time I visited as a parent with kids and the staff were so kind and accommodating, especially when my baby girl was crying. The tubal and degustación menú are 5 to 6 dishes for those looking for an indulgent moment. The day menu is the cheapest, 41€, and has two starters, a main dish, a dessert and wine from the region. Everything is excellent and the service is fantastic. Atxen, the owner, walks around and speaks to all guests and gives good advice on dishes. My sister in law wedding dinner was celebrated here.
