Cars were parked all around the attractive, well furnished pub so we feared we wouldn't get a table, but the pub is quite spacious and we were seated immediately. Susan had the fish and chips (of which she is a real fan) and I had the chicken curry. Susan was astounded by the best fish and chips she has ever dined upon and I was pleased/impressed by the quality of the curry. Service was prompt - beer and wine were delivered immediately, our orders came quickly, and we were revisited several times to ensure all of our needs were met. We've been "on the road" in the USA, France, and Italy for the past month and this was the best and most welcoming service we've experienced. The pub was packed by locals of all ages having a wonderful, lively night out. We were both absolutely delighted by the experience and highly recommend a visit when in the area!

What again was presented was a chargrilled chicken breast with no Cajun, 2 small pieces of lettuce and the bottom bun covered in relish that tasted horiffic. I've been ordering the same meal when I've gone in the last few years and normally the Cajun burger has a fantastic Cajun sauce, lettuce and onion rings on it. I recommended it to a lot of people. Not any more, I'm not sure who made it but it was clearly not what was described on the menu. Service was very slow when normally quite fast. I said it to the waiter and all he said was sorry about that and I still had to pay for that meal.
