The Beauty Lounge offered the best overall experience of any salon I've tried in Cedar Rapids--and I've been shopping around for a while. The salon is small and very well decorated: it's feminine and clean without being frilly. The entire staff was personable and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. Megan--the salon's owner--cut and colored my hair and she did an amazing job. She is very skilled as a stylist and she was really fun to talk to as well! She went the extra mile in every way during my appointment by taking the time to brew some fresh coffee for me, helping me sift through my Pinterest page to find the perfect cut, and by beautifully transforming my hair. When it came time to pay, I was shocked at how reasonable the price was for everything Megan did. In short: this salon offers a great experience and competitive prices. The girl said well they were running late and I would have to soak off. Ok? Then she acted like it was a problem and I told her I stated that when I made my appointment. I also have a fake toenail so she said it would take that off and I replied well can you replace it and she said no. Ok, than remove with nail drill. No they don't do that. Ok.... I can't go with out a toe nail and I was overall disappointed in overall attitude. I left without services!
